Have been thinking of A4 and beyond. Definitely now they have Galactus, Doom, and Kang Secret Wars is in play. This is a perfect set up for the next generation of movies. Secret Wars is exactly what I think the next big mega ensemble movie will be. Having a brand new Xmen sounds exciting except I pity the fool that has to follow Hugh Jackman.

It's not just Jackman ... Feige has demonstrated some amazing casting powers so far but can he find another perfect duo for Xavier and Magneto to make it 3 in a row to hold down those roles.

I'd do a multiverse thing with Thanos like they did when they merged the Ultimates Universe with 616 (there was an earth 616 easter egg in Agents of Shield last week). It's already established with Doctor Strange and Ghost Rider, and would explain why the X-Men aren't around.

Would Secret Invasion be a better way to introduce new dudes? A bunch of new heroes show up, fight, are revealed to be Skrulls, then the real ones are saved at the end and free to make their own movies.

Find out in their own movies? I would like to see some Skrulls, but doing Secret Invasion with the existing characters is too similar to Civil War.

Where would the X-men be before Secret Wars?

Well it might swerve a little too intricate but with Doctor Strange having introduced the concept of different planes of existence into the MCU the next progression from there could be alternate Earth realities. The Beyonder could rip heroes and villains out of multiple timelines to populate his petri dish planet.

I'd love for them to go the multiple earths route in future movies. The DC tv shows (Arrow, Flash) have done multiple earths really well, so I imagine Marvel could do it even better.

Not only would that be a way to get newly acquired characters into the MCU, but it would also give great fodder for future standalone movies. We could get some alternate-earth versions of characters as either heroes or villains. It could also be a great way to get the original actors back for future cameos for any that might get killed off.

thanos will have the reality gem. that and scarlet witch. so they do some goofy reality warping and when they're done, boom. mutants.

could even screw with reality during a fight. so one minute, cap and iron man are punching thanos, then wanda does her mojo and it cuts back to wolverine and magneto fighting thanos. then thanos warps things back. this stuff writes itself

Feige has said that the ending of A4 will change the way the entire genre is dealt with moving forward. So that's 50% bullshit hype but I love how they have us talking about this shit 3 years in advance.

Not the entire genre just the MCU. There will be a clear line of demarcation between pre and post A4 in how the MCU is set up and functions. And that some of those differences will be things that fans won't be expecting.

The genre wide implication he has talked about was with regard to A4 being a finale, saying that there has never really been one on the scale that we will see with that movie.

I could see them maybe showing the Baxter Building as a wink towards F4. To do more hey would need to cast actors first and they would probably want to figure out what kind of movie they want their first F4 to be before taking that step. And they have to work out some arrangement with Constantin Films first of course (they hold the production rights).
