Another Netflix "Christmas" movie with a great cast. I'd give this one an 8/10, but I like absurdism.

Pottersville (2017) - IMDb

Some might find it a little boring but I thought it was good. And it's short with just a 1h25m runtime.

The special was good. The Bird Revelation was... something. It was a bunch of strange, nonsensical rants with some comedy in between.

I haven't watched it yet but apparently the Bird Revelation has a lot of allegories, like how he views Comedy Central, hollywood execs, hollywood actors, etc

It was uncomfortable to watch. I shut it off half way through then tried to go back to it a few times and never made it more than another 5-10 minutes.

And it wasn't really allegorical. There wasn't any veil to pull back to decipher some underlying political statement. He was just talking, spouting off ideas as they came to him, or so it seemed.

He calls it quits and passes the baton because he's tired of everyone getting offended at everything, and then goes right into pissing on Caitlyn Jenner. What a hero.

That's the Belly room at The Store, holds like 50 people. You don't often see a legend quit (again) on his own terms.

Sorry to be bumping this thread if its not meant to be bumped, but..

This might belong in the Marvel thread, as well. Feel free to move it if you want to.

Netflix Buys Michael Pena-Lizzy Caplan Thriller ‘Extinction’ From Universal (EXCLUSIVE)
The film stars Michael Pena (“Ant-Man”) and Lizzy Caplan (“Now You See Me 2,” “Allied”) as a husband and wife. His character has a recurring nightmare of losing his family and that bad dream becomes a reality when the planet is invaded by a force bent on destruction. Fighting for their lives, he comes to realize an unknown strength to keep his family safe from harm.

Pulled from theaters by Universal, sold to Netflix. I guess we'll see that trend more for shaky quality movies.

new Chris Rock comedy special will release on Netflix tomorrow, Feb 14th. I'd link the announcement video but its just 45 seconds of a tamborine shaking, annoying as fuck

Glad to see Chris Rock doing stand-up again, been a huge fan of his shows since Bring the Pain. Think this is the first one since his divorce too.

Trailer with actual comedy in it.

Also an excuse to post old bits.

Going to agree that his older material was significantly better. This is probably the weakest of the 'big' comedy specials they have put out recently.
