Your memory really is bad. The thread was about if there should be punishment for dps racing a spawned event mob. Literally had nothing to do with kiting, and the AoW at no point was ever being kited while attacked lol. Again, keep deflecting from your original comment. EQ has caused serious brain damage to you.

People we play with HATE classic and Kunark but honestly those are 2 of my favorite time periods in EQ. That was by far the most fun I had on Agnarr too, thats the last time Dannin played too. Learning to solo PoFear as a Necro was pretty fun too, Im sure you remember the way we had to break it alone.

I enjoy the initial rush and single group competition. watching people zone into fear and repeatedly train us either trying to wipe us or accidentally from trying to get rots was priceless. Sterling Sterling was there alot with us too iirc.

Man I forgot about that, so many people would get murked. Honestly it was my first time being a Necro and it was still hard even on these easier servers to break in alone and clear the zone alone. Its still pretty insane how Necros and SKs can solo their own planar armor in classic.

Remember the homie Astral and Sterling Sterling both helped a ton, I wouldnt be opposed to doing that kind of play again on a TLP. Its the fucking raiding everyday or every other day that pisses my family off with good reason.

There is no thread on any gaming forum,ever which goes 15 pages and is purely on topic. You can always be sure that whatever thread takes popularity on those forums WILL get shitlords going off the rails. Shit, EVERY thread about any topic became a sleeper thread when that happened...

My friends in IVAS bragged to me about how they were able to secure a cordial working relationship with other guilds for joint world open raiding during off hours, eg 4am. Denying that IVAS and OGC joint raided is absurd; this wasn't some secret, it was open knowledge. Frankly, good on you for it too, lower ranked guilds banding together for off hours is a healthy practice.

AoW stopped being kited once the DPS race shitlording started, but that doesn't change pre kiting. Jacking spawned event mobs stopped being enforced early POP combine. They banned for a jacked cursed, threatened to for an avatar of earth, then didnt for a fennin, and didnt for some shit guilds over that innovation spider thing. AFAIK no enforcement at a raid level has happened since, possibly 8th ring and shawls excepted but only arbitrarily if at all (and arguably those aren't raids).

I spent hours in Fear farming Blighted/Cryoslik indeed. Being one of the few classes that can solo their planar armor was certainly interesting.

I fucking loved this on Fippy, until that time the one guild literally socked CT from kill to respawn and they saw me doing it. Then came all you fuckers with your maphacks. The fuck is the fun of doing fear with those? Meanwhile no chance of touching anything vs competition without them...

Last time I farmed in pofear solo, AOS raid came through, trained themselves on CT as I watched with my harry potter map, then secretly proceeded to blame me as the trainer, a friend/family of the guild and next morning kicked me. I happen to be in the zone killing the blighted and wanted to pull some trash to the raid to get another blighted but got yelled at and told no, so I waited at the south wall and watched.

And now that I dont play phinigel I can safely say I knew I didnt train you guys cause I had macroquest and watched it all happen from the south wall. Haven't farmed fear since!

Agreed 100%. Only way id play classic again is with a static of homies. AoN+Monk made it look like yall had an extra pet running around in Fear 24/7 lmao.

Unless something weird happened in Velious after I quit mid-Kunark - we were permitted ON OUR OWN to help other guilds if we wanted to - and some did, but it wasn't an IV thing, it was just a "if you're bored and want to" thing. We didn't get credit for attending, if you were online it wasn't required to attend, etc.

Merc work or open raiding - is fine but joint raiding real content to "compete", meh.
