Delivery:
Dominos has the most "bread" like crust.
Pizza Hut has an artificial texture and flavor to their crust.
Papa John's crust is like cardboard, sauce tastes like shit. Better the next day when it's cold.
Mr. Gatti's has better toppings than PJ's, but their crust is also cardboard.
Marco's is solid all around, except for their shit pepperoni.
Little Caesars' if you're poor or buying for a huge party.
Austin's Pizza, I would order over all of the above if they delivered to my house.

Restaurant or pick-up only:
Fire & Ice Pizza - this place is 5 fuckin' stars pizza, and has a bar. Win/win.
California Pizza Kitchen, pretty solid toppings since I love sun dried tomatoes. Crust is meh, since it's trying to be "healthy". Also overpriced.
Brick Oven is where I'd take a date for pizza. It's not particularly special, but you can get wine with your pizza.
Mangia's, if you want deep dish, this is the place.
Pinthouse Pizza and East Side Pies are good beer and pizza places for groups.
Other local favorites, Yaghi's and Sidelines hand mold their dough, and cook in a brick oven.

All mom&pop shops are decidedly not the same, though a lot of them are pretty similar in that they use frozen pizza discs that they toss random toppings on and run through a cheap conveyor belt oven that you see in a lot of convenience stores.

All the downtown places in Austin use a stationary oven. Toppings and crust are generally "acceptable", but who gives a fuck when you're slobbering drunk at 3AM.

This is very region dependent, as well, as Dominos has vastly different toppings offerings in places like South Florida or England. London Dominos delivery had some crazy shit you could get.

I dig pizza, but almost everywhere around here sucks. You have to go to a fancy sit down place or just make it at home. Although Round Table ain't too shabby. Just way too expensive. The late night pizza by the slice joints are OK, but it's not like I'm sober when there and the quality of the pizza doesn't matter much to me.

I recently discovered Marco's and they are my go to pizza delivery service now. Tastes like they still use real toppings instead of processed variants (I don't know how else to describe that).

Ever since I got a pizza stone, I've been making it at home a lot.

Our local pizza hut is so disgusting, it's really soured me on the brand. That said I'd rather eat dirt off the ground than papa John's and their despicable tasting sauce.

Pizza Hut here is brutal. Every location in the city simultaneously decided that they were going to reduce the amount of cheese by 80%. It's so dry that your topping just scorch on top of the oily bread.

People I know won't shut the fuck up about 313 pizza. But I've never been.

You also forgot papa Murphy's. Which is the best!

I've been to 313, the only thing memorable was the beer. Pizza sub-avg to avg at best.

If we're also talking self-cook, the HEB brand pizzas are pretty fakn awesome, too.

I agree on HEB, but Papa Murphy's has benefit of recursive coupons. After the first time you go you'll be getting a Family Size (Super XL) and free cheese bread every single time you go for like $15. You get the same coupons with every pizza. With additional specials here and there.

I recently discovered that one of the Round Tables near me is 50% off on Mondays. Another one doesn't have that deal, so I have no idea if it is even a thing or just that one restaurant, but it makes it much easier to consider Round Table as an option again. 30 fucking dollars for a meal is highway robbery.

However, their lunch buffet is a good deal, so I often get my pizza fix that way.

I have a pizza hut that has a buffet for lunch at 6 bucks. Only one around I've seen for awhile. That is a gut destroying day for me. they also let you ask for pizzas you want made for the buffet. I would never go to a papa johns buffet.

Pizza Hut buffet! That's like spotting a living dodo bird. I thought those were all extinct. The only thing that was better than a Pizza Hut buffet back in the day was the KFC buffet.

Really, I don't see why all fast food places don't have a buffet option.

Cici's is pretty damn good, though.

No one goes to a buffet for fresh food. Anyway, Pizza Hut lunch buffets are only for like 1 hour a day, right? They'd be fine even sitting out for that long.

I wish Panda Express had a buffet for lunch. That would be epic. Pizza hut buffet by my house is 11 to 1 so it's perfect for my lunch hour.

I used to hit the Round Table lunch buffet at least once a month when I lived in Cali. Fuck paying $30 for one of their pizzas though, good as it is.

The pizza hut here has a buffet but they are slow as fuck putting food on it so there will be nothing there for 10 minutes and then they bring out some pizzas and everyone swoops in and picks in clean in 2 minutes. I don't think it's an accident, I'm sure people eat less because of that. Cheap bastards.

I don't think a more wrong statement has ever been posted in this thread. That's really saying something considering the ridiculous shit Noodle has said.

Last time I had Cici's was when I was in high school back in Ohio when I ate high octane crap on the reg. Even those plebe taste buds knew Cici's was trash. Your rebuttal means nothing.
