wtf people stop this shit now... consoles!!!! GRRR

oh link, yeah, its in Japanese

ワイルドアームズ ミリオンメモリーズ

Wild Arms' Mobile Reboot Arrives in Japan This Year

also... how did I not know there was a 5th Wild Arms!! BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE PS3 HOPE U BOOT... I still need to beat 2 and 3....and...4...but 5 looks cool! ;-)

---

The rpgamer page is odd...says its a reboot...but then says its a new entery and will have characters from /previous/ entries.

edit: oh I get it, its rebooting the series because we haven't had one in a long time - its not (maybe?) a REBOOT of the entire series (starting over) its just, re-ignighting the series again.

If so, I look forward to a nice full big console level main game, I love me some Wild Arms.

Edit 2: yeah I know console forum...but WA is a console series...and I thought at first it was a reboot of WA 1 a console game...so deal with it :) stupid mobile games!!!

I played the first on PS1, decent rpg elements and combat, with Zelda like puzzles. Never finished it cuz FF7 came out. Which probably says enough.

Original game was some JRPG goodness. I guess I wouldn't mind this trend of bringing stuff to mobile (the genre needs that level of UA potential to thrive), but they keep giving us ports that are complete pieces of shit.

First Wild Arms was pretty classic (I honestly didn't like the AF remake, but I may be weird) and the second one was pretty decent. Third was different and removed a lot of the "gear" stuff from the games, but was still pretty cool. The rest of the releases were decidedly "meh."

Wild Arms was great because it was a totally different setting/atmosphere from other RPG's (Western with magic/machines) and the music was awesome.

I think the only reason I liked this game was that PSX was starving for some JRPG at the time.

and then ended up becoming the premier system for RPG gamers.

thanks Nintendo for fucking up that Sony disc addon deal in the early 90s!

1 was a great game, 2 was...odd...I am around 10% and I am still trying to wrap my head around what /exactly/ is happening.

3 was good, sans the sonar exploration thing >_< but still didnt finish it- I need to find my dvd and finish that bitch - I love how the intros changed as you progressed.

The music was excellent. There was an electronic album I had at the time from 'Sanitarium" that had the exact same electronic 'riff' as the Wild Arms overworld music. My dad actually text me about it a few weeks ago, he was listening to the Sanitarium album and asked me if I remembered what game it was. Good shit.

Wife was listening to YoYo-Ma Once and I was like "he's playing wild arms!" She was like "no, that would be the good the bad and the ugly"

Lol

The music was awesome- but we were just in golden age of classic jrpgs and we expected good music.
