Just turn her turrets into drone type assists that she can assign to X# of players that give shields, turret beam damage/slow, or some other effects.

I'm kind of proud to say I'm a Sym main that usually floats around 2700-3300 SR. It depends, on a wildly variant basis, how cooperative my teams as to whether we succeed.

so how much people defer to your terrible pick that you won't change off of, got it.

Anyway, if any of you are actually stuck in bronze/silver, as someone who has fucked around and climbed out a load of times now, if you want some quick tips then:
disable voice/chat completely
ignore and dont be part of this 2-2-2 shit. A lot of the time forcing people to play garbage healers they aren't good at just leads to more losses and a tilted team. Most healers at this rank just try to dps anyway, don't pre-empt incoming damage or don't react fast enough to heal through burst, and legit are probably better just playing a dps
play dva and learn how to press E and fly into someone overextending/squishy and melee too. Bonus points for matrixing ults or your team mates ulting
congrats you are now gold
also symmetra gets a lot of value on defense on many maps, abuse her

Agree with this other than the 2-2-2 part which I don't get it at all. You can "carry" with all 3 archtypes. A solid orisa or rein or dva or zen or moira that do their job well can influence the game just as much or better than a DPS who also does their job well. The biggest problems with the game/most of the time I lose games is because of absolute shithole DPS that just die over and over or don't kill anyone (especially when its more than 2 DPS). Like "I didn't know we even had a genji" moments. If you enter a comp game and 2 dudes (especially solo queue dudes) auto lock dps if you pick mei or some shit you're probably going to lose. Its a shitty situation I know but its the game.

My 8 years old daughter has been playing OW since launch. I got her a XIM4 to play on PS4 so she get used to mouse and keyboard while playing with her school friends. Eventually later this year I'll get a new laptop and I will give her my ROG Laptop. We will be able to play OW together on PC and she will already know the KB&M mechanics. My main goal has always been to be able to play with her on PC.

When she play other games with her firends (Ex:splatoon) They sometimes complain at school saying that I'm playing for her. The truth is that she is a lot better than I am at Splatoon. I got better positioning and game knowledge than her in OW but I have noticed how fast her eyes are compared to mine. I guess I'm a old person now. :p

Played on the alt a little last to see if I could get the 400 or SR I needed to get to plat before season end. It's not going to happen, managed to get +75SR though.

I had a 5 vs 6 win which is always nice. Well we did our attack on Hannamura as 6 vs 6 with like 6mins+ left, a damn fast run, then we had a leaver for defense. We still managed a full hold on point A.

Then a game on Dorado where the other team was D'va+5DPS. They didn't even reach the Arch before point A, we held them at the first corner where the Payload start, was ridiculous.

End of season is really shit.

600 SR float is pretty big for a main. I know youve probably settled with that being satisfactory but I'd expect a main to go higher and have a smaller gap. But you know if thats what you enjoy go for it. Just hope I dont get you lol. I feel like the skill difference between 2700 and 3300 are huge. You could almost hit 3500. so whats going on, you just get bad luck or teams that dont synergize with you or you get the wrong maps?

I might be going out on a limb but if you can get 3300 on a symmetra I wonder how well you could do on a different class, maybe go even higher. I've tried to play her though lol I always group my turrets up too close together.

Oh, I forgot...I had someone tell me last night to never play Zen again because I'm a terrible healer just as the game ends.

Then the cards appear, I have a card for healing done with 15K as Zen. I don't think my healing was the problem. :)

I disagree with the skill difference between 2700 and 3300 being significant. The biggest difference is how confident people are with their play and how tilt-proof they are. I find people are less likely to tilt in lower SR because they don't care as much about the game and aren't taking it as deathly serious as people in higher SR. That being said, streaks one way or another typically come down to time of day and maturity of the teams. Sprinkle in an average number of games where the team is being outmatched/outplayed and there you have it.

I've played the entire roster a fair bit, Sym's just who I come back to the most and have the most success with consistently. I'm a fair Zarya, Sombra, and Mercy - but Sym's the most fun out of the bunch, for sure.

ya they should add a scoreboard. i used to use a recording program that showed me k/d ratio of my players, and it wasnt always the torb or sym that was holding us back

Sym and Torb on attack are usually a sure sign of a thrower though. That shit is mad annoying.

Sometimes the biggest issue with an attack Torb or Sym is not their performance, it's that their selection tilts the team in the spawn room and it's rare that a team with tilted players will win.

Especially when those players just switch off from tanks and healers because they consider the game lost already and decide to throw themselves.

There’s a reason you have never seen sym played in OWL or have seen torb maybe twice? Three times? These characters are not good. Even if they perform well, in all likelihood they would perform better as a different, less niche character - you know, one that doesn’t require all other five people on the team to bend over backwards in order to play around their hero choice.

I'm sorry attack Symerttra is legit retarded on most maps. Just learn other characters... As someone who stated as a Mercy main and got wrecked by the nerf even i'm getting to the point I can shoot stuff pretty reliably.. Despite not playing shooters on my computer for 8-10 years and being far more comfortable with the controller and the PS4 version I can play DPS and general Shooty shoot characters.

learn to play Orissa, it's a shield tank so it's in high demand, You will gain a lot from that game sense you hopefully have plus it forces you to learn to shoot shit.

As for if you can really carry yourself out of silver/bronze on any character. I can play Moira excellently but you just don't have any really "game changer" abilities. I had a game the other day, We won a match of Junkertown where I finished with 16k healing in 17 mins and 62 eliminations 20 solo kills, 8k dmg ( I did a lot of Mercy Hunting and the Hanzo liked to go after me forcing a response). Did a I carry the team? Nah, I don't think so... we won 90% of the fights, we just had a really bad composition for Junkertown, and hence the game forced us into overtime and a very long game with a team we were essentially spawn camping for large periods of time, but they would win a odd fight here or there and keep the game moving somehow.

I get games like that a fair amount, But more often it feels like the best you can do with her is carry a weak team to a very close finish.

That my Roadhog, Orisssa, Bastion and Pharah all have better win % then my Moira despite me being nowhere near as good with them is telling imo.

Sym takes awhile to get good with her, doesn’t matter what the pros play, we are not pros and we are not playing against pros. Get over yourself.
