When i was researching plumbing for dummies, they use the black pvc for sewage, white pvc for regular, and no it's not racist, it just makes sense, shit is black, it gets the black pipes.

White PVC(Polyvinyl chloride) is used in non-pressure commercial drainage. Gray PVC Sched 40 or Sched 80 can hold pressure and supply domestic water. The black pipe is called ABS(Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene ) and is used for non-pressure residential drainage.
Since these are all solvent-weld connections, the glue (solvent cements and primers) can get you high as fuck if you huff 'em.
