Exactly, went to a meet up banquet this past Friday and one of the conversations when into BFV and the conversation went like this

Someone at the table: you know that it’s WWII

Black dude next to me: wait what that’s WWII

Me: exactly

When normal people who don’t play games on a regular basis are confused about the concept then you have a problem

I think its just a symptom of them taking themselves too seriously for what they're trying to do. If it's wacky and zany, express that in the video reveal. Whatever, water under the bridge at this point. Who gives a shit about a cinematic anyway. BFA for WOW had an incredible cinematic and that game looks like total dog shit.

Yeah, it looks about as realistic as Fortnite, and I think it's a safe bet that the whole thing is driven by EA's bean counters shitting themselves because they don't have a FotM battle royale game that sells cosmetics by the truckload to the kiddies. They just need to put a muzzle on their people who are going full retard defending it. Case in point:

EA got on board because you open up additional wallets for cosmetic purchases. That is the tradeoff for not needing to buy DLCs I guess?

Im not retarded so they would have never have gotten a single cent from me for skins, but they would have gotten a box sale out of me, doesnt look like it now though.

It helped that the japanese carriers just werent as good as the US carriers or even the brit carriers. The US had far better damage control, and the brits had decent damage control and armored flightdecks which were so effective the US adopted them. " The USN liaison officer on HMS Indefatigable commented: "When a kamikaze hits a U.S. carrier it means 6 months of repair at Pearl [Harbor]. When a kamikaze hits a Limey carrier it’s just a case of "Sweepers, man your brooms. "

The mechanics sound interesting, I'm not gonna write it off yet til I see gameplay/beta test. I probably won't buy it if it is fun during launch. Wait til that 50% off during Xmas.
