Apparently Lady Gaga would only do this if Bradly Cooper actually sung and neither lip synced. He is pretty good honestly

is it weird that i feel bad for lady gaga because she's sunk to playing old barbara stresiand fodder?

i really don't get why there are early screenings of this, why there is a fan screening, why the MC/RT is so high... is there some weird majority subset of the USA that loves seeing country musicals or something? is this all a spin off from the harry potter universe?

Well, its a remake of a Barbara Steisand remake of a Judy Garland remake of a 1937 movie, each of which earned at least an Academy Award nomination for its music and the leading lady, so I wouldn't feel too bad for her yet.

And as far as the fan screenings, I have nothing really to do next tuesday, so I checked if I could see it with my A-List. The answer was no, and the dolby theater it is showing in was basically sold out of the good seats, at $18 a pop. I assumed the movie was gonna do well, but there is apparently (I assume) a lot of old white ladies who are ready to see Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga belt it out.

i know about the judy garland one, never saw that, but i did see the Babs streisand one and it was fucking horrible. The Mad Magazine satire of it was much better. i'm actually going to see this lady gaga one. it looks pretty interesting even though i detest musicals.

With all her weirdness, and whatever is going on with her.

Truth is that Lady Gaga is a hell of a good singer.

I am more worried about Bradley Cooper being a good director.

That is actually a nice song. There is no doubt that Lady Gaga can sing and Bradley Cooper holds his own. Might be a really nice movie worth checking out.

Country music isn't something I particularly enjoy, but Crazy Heart was quite good. A good character movie that's about something I'm not necessarily into is fine if it's a well crafted enjoyable movie.

every single seat is sold out at the 7pm tue preview at my local AMC, i don't think even infinity war sold out that fast every seat. i hope some jew in hollywood is working on ways to make tons of money off apparently lada gaga and country music, its not something i even knew was a thing

country music was goddamned huge in the 70s and early 80s. here in NJ it was huge. i was big into southern rock and people like Waylon Jennings and Charlie Daniels. even Kenny and Willie.
