Who was that chinese mexican guy stalking Nacho again?

As for Mike, did he just decide that he might as well do some work if he was gonna get paid 10k a month?
isn't that actually his own money? he's paying himself to work, cuz thats dirty millions getting cleaned via payroll

I took it like this- If Mike was going to be doing illegal activities and receive a “legit” paycheck, he wanted to know how well his ass would be covered, so checked on the company signing his checks.

Even telling the guys to use back braces was a way to cover his ass by keeping unwanted petty lawsuits from hitting that place.

I think it was him being bored because he didn't have his day job. I think they kind of clearly showed that in the scene before. Maybe a little bit of guilt for getting so much money and not doing anything.

I don't remember all the details of season 3 so why Jimmy suddenly "switched" after Howard says its his fault that Chuck died is a mystery to me. Is he relieved that nobody thinks its his fault? Was it his fault, I honestly don't remember - I remember Chuck basically knocking over the lamps to start the fire and I vaguely remember Jimmy visiting before but not what they talked about.

The Madrigal stuff is kinda weird, like Gus Fring doesn't own that giant ass company, right? Its some German conglomerate where Lydia works and Los Pollos is owned by it I think so Gus must be a VP or something, and they of course get their meth precursor chemicals through the company and I remember they shipped meth to eastern europe through the company I think but I don't really understand if the big wigs know they sell meth or if its something Gus just setup as a shell inside a big company. Guess we'll find out this season.

Re: Jimmy not caring about Chuck's death; go back and watch the conversation again where Chuck tells Jimmy that he was never a real lawyer and that Chuck never really cared about him. The reason Jimmy doesn't care is because he thinks Chuck never cared either, so why bother?

Re: Mike and Madrigal; I thought the safety scene was equal parts bored with no day job and wanting to make sure he has a credible alibi of doing the job that he is getting paid for if any suspicion was ever thrown on those payments from Lydia.

imo, when Saul saw that when Howard took the blame, that was Saul passing the grieving baton onto Howard. Someone has to feel sad that Chuck died, and w/ Howard presenting himself as the one that will always be the one to feel sad, Saul doesn't have to take on that responsibility anymore.

b/c thats how he started his "new" day, he fed the fish and made fresh coffee, just like in the beginning of the eps.

Yup I don't think he gave a shit about Madrigal itself, he was just bored out of his skull.

I think Mike didnt feel comfortable getting paid (even when its his own money) while not doing any work. Seems to be that type.

And the scene with Howard at the end was fucking brutal.

I think it was a combination of him not wanting a free handout, and wanting to make it look as legit as possible. Mike is a smart dude and knows that what I assume is a monthly cheque for 10k showing up with no visible ties to the company is a big red flag for anyone looking. It's something that would have looked fishy as fuck to him when he was a cop.

I have so much faith in the writers, I didn't even get bored or annoyed before I realized what he was doing there. I just somehow knew something good was coming out of this.

Other shows don't have that kind of freedom with me.

Yeah, because he's never worked for a big corporate before, so the idea that there'd be highly paid consultants hired by some exec for some unspecified task with no oversight and that no-one else knows who the fuck they are or what they do is foreign to him ;p

That shit happens allllll the time, it's usually stupidity rather than criminality though.

You can blame Walt for that. Fucker turned everything he touched into meth flavoured shit.

I was always rooting for Walt in B.B., but after 3 (almost 4 years) is B.C.S., I hate knowing Walt turns Mike into a dude smoothie.

We watched Jimmy eat cereal and circle jobs in the paper. Mike on a golf cart is way more exciting.
