So far it hasn't been that bad. So far I've found it easier to carry than WoT. I ended my career with a 56% win rate in WoT over 20k matches and I just couldn't put up with it. At least WoWS I get to experience new window lickers as opposed to knowing 30 seconds in what the real idiots are going to do to be ineffective.
Final straw was a game that was running out of time that got down to 1v1. Our 1 guy started capping and the other guy on the other team started to cap. The other guy was an idiot becuase when he started there wasn't time left. Easy win right? Nope, our guy drove out of the cap circle with 10 seconds left to cap with 20 seconds left in the game. Draw.
It may get worse later but for right now it's fun.

I downloaded this again since a friend wanted to try it out since it's been awhile. They've made a lot of positive changes. The new weekly pve "operations" are really fun and challenging.
They also fixed a lot of the issues with the pacing of games by moving spawns closer and shrinking low tier maps so all the slow ships don't have to chase carriers forever.
It's still a bit shallow in the options department, though there's a ton of ships compared to launch. It feels a bit more grindy to get up the trees compared to WoT as well, but maybe just due to 20 minute vs 15 minute matches.

I played at launch, I may try it again. I've been jonesing to try the warships when they release in War Thunder. Kinda jaded on both because the steepness of the grind theyve made them. Even with a year of premium in war thunder it was hard to get anywhere fast even if you mostly only flew one country.
Too many vehicles also individually pay locked. I'd be fine if it was like a moba and $2-4 dollars or something but many are quite expensive.

I keep it installed and go through periods where I play it some. I've reached T7 US destroyers and I think I am at T6 on cruisers and battleships. It has definitely gotten better but it does get a little grindy. For example, the T7 US destroyer feels markedly less effective than the T6 and, of course, is a much longer grind to get through it.
I played in the recent competitive season and did okay. I found that my win rate jumped up in competitive vs. random.
I've thrown a little money their way for gold and a few days of premium. I feel that they have earned that much but ship prices are over the top so I will never buy one.
Fun to jump in and plink around when you're not sure what you want to play.

I think the thing is the potential bonuses to xp are much higher so they scale everything around that. Right now there's like a +100%xp bonus, you can run +100% camo and the +50% or whatever flag. Of course the +50% only daily, but that goes up sometimes too.
I been playing this again lately too. The British battleship one has been fun so far. Do we have a guild up?

I'm currently most invested in US CA line like I had from beta before the wipe, trying German and UK BBs but T3 is so boring and bad I don't know if that's going to make it.
I saw some insane stuff from British tier 7 BBs yesterday, they seem to be pretty efficient artillery pieces but everyone and their mother is playing them so it's kind of difficult to tell if I'd enjoy them in the long run.

I was looking into trying this out, since I just got into researching naval vessels lately and just visited the USS Yorktown (CV-10). So I thought this would be fun to put some time into, if anybody has any tips for starting out or a starter code, invite code, etc. would be greatly appreciated. KRA!
