At least with Cataclysm, and nearly every expansion, but specifically Cataclysm being a vanilla junky (and WC2), I'd been waiting for fucking Deathwing. What do I have to look forward to? Contrived bs with Jaina and Sylvanas? I have nothing in the back of my my mind keeping that itch going.

Cancelled my sub since I want to try to just run off of tokens again since they're down for a little while, but apparently they don't even ask you why you're unsubbing anymore? Just hit cancel and it said "are you sure?" and that was it.

I don't mind this expansion going off into crazy town. At least it's totally unexplored territory lorewise and all that.

I didn't realize the Darkmoon decks were so simple. I was auctioning WTB Blockades for 55k for a while, and when nobody offered it I just looked up the cards, and realized I could make them for 22k each. Bought all the cards and made several and proceeded to sell them for 62k. WTF? Is that how these decks make people money? Ignorance of how they are made?

Gameplay systems across the board all feel slightly worse to me than legion, but the zones themselves are a massive step up visually and aesthetically. The music as well is A+ and their sound designers, composers etc deserve a ton of credit.

Have my hunter and alliance pally at 120, and prefer the alliance vibe - the zone music for alliance is particularly excellent. Some of the dungeons are really really good, and story has been fairly compelling.

That said, the MASSIVE loss in player power feels like fucking shit and I don’t believe ilvl will be the cure. We needed a new row of talents at 120, and didn’t get it. Enjoying myself overall, dungeon running, grabbing random world quests etc and will keep casually playing for a bit. Survival feels so much better than ret, but prot pally feels good

Agreed. I feel like such a chump and the only way to feel better is to do old raids. Ilvl won't fix it. Having so many less abilities overall just sucks as well. I literally have nothing to spend my Pain on as a Vengeance DH. It's a bummer and combat doesn't feel great.

I don't mind going off on a tangent, but, where is it going besides leading into the new dungeons that we know never allude to the grand scheme? Does Tuesday introduce the first raid or do we have another week or two before they deploy that? Honestly haven't been interested enough to give a fuck, unfortunately.

They literally just needed to pick the 2 best Lego effects and add sephuz as the third talent and make that the 120 row.

Isn't it random which darkmoon card you get? Blockades is the cheap one because one of the other decks is like 300k so people generate a lot of trash blockades cards trying to get that one.

Yeah can get them right now on my server for 100k. I also made a few Squalls decks for about 20k each and sold those for around 65 too. I'm just buying the cards off AH. Someone was smart and has been monopolizing all Threes though, so those are expensive.

Grand scheme is clearly that the blood trolls don't know what they're fucking with unleashing G'Huun from jail. In Alliance land some dudes are very clearly worshipping N'Zoth even though Boralus is all, "nahhh it can't be!" Despite that the cult took the time to build a giant Cthulhu temple in Stormgarde. They'll ally with Azshara or something dumb like that. Since Azshara has a cameo in one of the dungeons anyway.

So I'm probably going to hold off on this expansion until one of the bigger content patches come out (mainly Azshara raid, I am kind of hyped about that), and even then I'm still in wait and see mode. Everything I've tried, everything I've read, and everything the devs have said have just lead me to losing all faith in the direction this game is going. I can't believe nobody has fired that ass clown Ion Fagicozsta yet

I definitely gathered that they're as fucking stupid as the Aztec's with their head popping down the side of a temple. Just waiting for the scene where the evil white man inadvertently causes biological genocide on their stupid culture.

Trolls:

Dress up ancient Titan technology/buildings as stupid Troll shit. Make no attempt to actually use it or understand it or anything. But boy does it look pretty! Took the time to dress up the inactive Titan Protectors and couldn't figure out how to turn them on in thousands of years. Even though the batteries were laying around everywhere. Dress up Draz'Alor's Great Seal as a cool temple with gaudy troll shit. Tell everyone you don't know who made the seal or what it does. Only that it is super old and shit and looks cool. Especially now that we surrounded it with troll stuff! I suppose they have those temple guardian golems though. But they're powered by their enemies souls.

Have the Mogu assist you so you can at least put your blood magic to some good use and activate some anima golems they created for you.

Get mad at the King of Zandalar for being weak or something. Start listening to whispers in your head to break the Great Seal because G'Huun is going to be your boy and bring glory to the Empire. Fuck those stupid Loa. Ignore the snakes who killed their loa snake god to trap the abomination. Die in the coup anyway so what you unleashed will just kill everything.

Zandalar need to be genocided. Seriously. Azeroth would be better off.

Mogu:

Research Titan technology enough to figure out how to use it to power stuff. Find an intact construct creator (Mogushan Vault) and use it to build endless terracotta armies to kill Pandas with. This is your most closely guarded secret dress it up so you can disguise what it actually is and misdirect the pandas.

The zones look and feel amazing. But a lot of them are also a huge pain in the dick for ground traveling. Zuldazar is fucking awesome, but I hate having to do dailies there. Although it might not be as bad for Horde there, since I'm assuming they get more than 2-3 flight paths.

It also doesn't help that their level scaling is just fucking weird. You actually feel weaker as you gain levels from 110-120, and as you pointed out, you don't get anything new along the way.

At the end of the day, It's really going to depend on whether Azerite traits actually become interesting with raid drops. Right now everything is pretty boring and is just a cherry on top of normal gameplay, but doesn't change how you play at all. I'm not expecting much from Uldir, but with the loss of set bonuses and artifact traits, the ones after Uldir better have something more than just basic passives.

I wonder if they didn't just blow their load on Legion. It had so many neat new ideas and things to keep us occupied and was a breath of fresh air after the stink of WoD. BFA just feels... uninspired, and a step back.
