Find it slightly odd that there were no charts (Nvidia loves a good comparison chart) for performance in non-RTX games between these 3 and their previous series of cards. Definitely seems like a wait-and-see approach is the best bet here, especially at these prices.

God damn 600 for a mid range card, I'll be surprised if those do well at all.

As already mentioned, 2070 is 499$.

Waiting to see on current games perf.

At least, they are innovating with raytracing. It's amazing what you can do with it and that we already have studios with games close to release that can take advantage of it.

Really need to wait on benchmarks to see the real gains. I have a GTX1080 so I'm fine with what I have for a couple more years still and by the time I'm ready to upgrade most games will make full use of RTX.

What games will be using ray tracing??
If anything this will hopefully mean an opportunity to get a 1070 laptop for under 1k by end of year

Games that will feature real-time ray tracing include the following, with more to come:
There's some new machine learning-based super sampling thing too:

Games that will use DLSS include the following, with more to come:

They're off their fucking rocker with this. Notice how all their performance talk was about "RTX gains" and raytracing shit? This is the same trash 20% increment for a near double price jump.

Pls save us Intel GPUs.

Unless you plan on buying one second-hand, no.

The price on old stock won't drop enough on old cards to justify getting a 1080ti over say a 2080.

But the second hand market will be amazing.

With price increases and crypto crashing they might have solved their cyrpto issue of people buying them all up...

The prices have me concerned, and I don't have much confidence that Intel will do any better than AMD at providing competition. The raytracing stuff might help with innovation in the industry, but high prices will just counteract that when people are forced to buy more budget-friendly cards, encouraging devs to aim lower in their design.

I guess I'll be relying on my 1080ti longer than I thought.

TI's on Amazon are at 650 now, which is already cheaper than the 2080 starting price. Second hand has them down to 500 or so now, i need to see benchmarks for final decisions tho which likely wont be for a few weeks.

How reliable is buying second-hand GPUs? Are you going to get some GPU that's been roasting in a bitcoin mining shack for the last two years and is on the verge of dying or?

Prices ont hese things are reaching absurdity. Can build a whole damn PC for $600-800 including top of the line AMD or INTEL processor and then I need to double the cost for a god damn video card? Fuck you!

Hope AMD drops with something to take the fucking steam away from these fucking Nvidia crooks.

Most miners use AMD I think, they were always the better bit mining cards. At least they were in the past.
