Picked up another Fiesta ST, seems to still be the best bang for the buck under 20k.

Just throwing this up in air: Too many toys and some have to go for a new kid and a new SUV. My M4 is one that I'll be letting go. I have it leased through my business, so it would be a lease takeover (done at BMW dealer on my dime).

2018 M4. 3,200 miles. 36 month lease that started April of 2018. 12,000 miles per year. $823.78 per month net is the payment. Sticker was: $69,695.00. Minor options; basically a stripper and a blank canvas. That was my intention, but I didn't get that far yet. Residual is calculated at $39,309.20.

Asking $3,200 for my capital cost reduction. Negotiable. Not required. Let's have a dialogue.

I'll pay transfer fee.

I have - new in box and never opened - MS spacers and Eibach springs that I'll sell with the car for 1/3 off retail if the new buyer is interested. Currently has black grill surrounds and side blades.

Car is in Houston TX.

We're all car bros here, so I thought it might interest someone.

Dropping the "capital cost" down payment from $3,200 to $1,200 to move this a little quicker.

Realistically YOU should be the one providing additional incentive to drop the monthly to $750 if you want a chance and more like $720 to move it quickly.

Anyone in texas that can speak to any abnormally high tax/title/liscence type fee's especially regarding motorcycles. Deal that's good enough for me to consider flying in and riding one home.

I was considering a Fiesta back when I bought my Mazda2 in the early 2010s, but I couldn't stand the seats. Maybe the ST has better ones, dunno. I'm also of the opinion that once someone's budgeting around the 20k range, they might as well just pop another 5k for a GTI.

I've had the gti and two ST's now and the ST is the better car. The GTI has better interior and is more refined but the ST is just pure driving fun.

They also offer a recaro seat package on the ST as an option. If you haven't test drove one I'd highly recommend it before buying a GTI.

The mk7 ST will end up being a modern classic.

Was updating my insurance today and State Farm offered me up to 50% off if I installed this Bluetooth device on my car. I asked what it recorded and they stated "only mileage".

I looked I to it and it constantly sends the following feedback to State Farm.

Real time speeds
Blinker usage
Brake pedal pressure
RPMs
And a few other things I don't remember.

They are out if their mind if they think I'm going to put that on my car. It is an insurer's wet dream to put something like that on your car. I could see them using that to keep from paying out claims due to you not using your blinker two turns earlier.

I bet within 5 years it will be something companies require customers to have on their car.

Or possibly even built into the car. There maybe a choice between makes that have it or don't have it, but you know what the insurance companies will do and vary the rates you have to pay for each type of car.

Yeah I have been offered a few of them, they also GPS you - but that's another disclosure as the items above are recorded from your car- the GPS is its stand alone reporting - that you don't have to accept them saying it's taking it from your car.

And the discounts I have been offered for them suck, like 10-20% pfft.

But on that note... time to start shopping... 200$ a month for my wife and I in our 30s is bullshit.

THey may say they aren't pulling that information but I guarantee you they would abuse the fuck out of that system.

I'm in the market for an AWD/4WD vehicle. I currently drive a '13 Charger and if they still made the V8 in AWD I'd go buy one tomorrow. However, '14 is the last year you can get a V8 AWD Charger and I really love the new(er) bodystyle. I'd love to get a Hellcat, but the winters where I live can get nasty and my Charger is a pussy in the snow (RWD). I've considered getting the Hellcat Grand Cherokee, but everything I'm reading online has Jeep super low on the reliability scale. My sister has a '16 Cherokee and it was in the shop 2x within the first year. Plus, size of the vehicle is bit of a consideration.

Any suggestions? I'd ideally like something with 300+HP, but still in the 30-40k range. Size is also a consideration as my Charger just barely squeaks into the garage with my girlfriend's Nissan Rogue. Even though I want more performance, I'm probably going to end up with a fucking V6 AWD Charger (they are my ideal car in terms of aesthetics, cabin room, and driving/performance). I'd really like to be given an alternative though.

Wonder what kind of loaners they give for the 40-50% of the time it will be the shop

I am also in love with the Quadrifoglio, but no chance I would buy 1 based on my neighbor's experience. He's had 1 for about 13 months now, 4.5 of which it has been in for repair. To answer your question, he got a Chrysler 300 as his loaner. Paying $85k to drive a 300 (base model at that) 35% of the time is unacceptable

The V6 Grand Cherokee has 300hp and is plenty luxurious. It may not be as fast as you'd like, but it'll do the trick. Or, it comes with the 5.7 as well. Maybe the Durango R/T? Same 5.7 but with even more room. I've seen used ones under 40k with less than 20k miles. There's the Toyota 4 Runner if you want super reliable. But, won't be fast and it's a bit dated (even a brand new one). I would personally love a 6.4L Grand Cherokee myself, but the cost just isn't justified with the questionable quality and some of the materials (it's got awesome tech, but still some carry-over cheap plastics). Oh, have you thought about the Ford range? the V6 eco-boost has great power for the size and decent mileage too.
