Speaking of horrible tanking experiences tried a Tol Dagon this week with Tyranical + Necrotic and I felt powerless verse that first boss. The boss has periods where it would clear but I would always get clipped by one add fucking me. Granted I have only ran that zone twice so my experience there is limited but goddamn did it feel like untested shit design.

Don't agro the adds let the dps tank and kill them they die pretty fast if all dps swap to them, as a healer I normally get agro on them by default I just move around and keep them on me while the dps kill them also yo can clear a few extra packs give people more room including the tank to kit and clear necotic. But i agree if the dps don't kill the adds fast enough then nothing tank or healer can do you going to wipe over and over, it is another prime example of a post I made earlier about m+ now requiring the whole group to be decent at mechincs not just tank and healer doing all the tactical stuff correctly and dps just making big numbers.

I done the place with a druid tank at +10 was pretty easy i was execting it to be hard with a druid tank but dps was spot on for first boss adds died super quick and tank never had more then 10 stack of necrotic, I also done it was a VDH tank at +7 we called it a day after 5 wipes meter showed 2 dps doing zero or minmal damage to the adds (I done more as MW) tank would get 40 necrotic in next to no time

Completely unrelated but the timewalking drop mount dropped for me this week so no real reason to go back besides the chest. Yay. 339 mounts and counting. Haven't even bought BfA stuff yet.

Leveled a boosted BRM from 110 to 120 and I think power actually spiked in the mid teens, once you had all 3 pieces of azerites going.

Pulls were generally 5-7ish throughout, which felt great compared to my shaman who had to blow CD's to even kill 3-4. I leveled him from 100-110 right before BFA and never played him, so his gear was substantially worse than boosted gear.

Third boss in temple is just a straight burn, I have had 0 issues with him on any Temple keys this week. The first boss in Tol Dagor has caused a few of the groups I'm in to just give up on the key. It's all about group comp I guess. I am an affliction warlock and I run with a mage who can spell steal the buff from the adds before him. That boss has been a total joke for us. But I may as well not even exist when it comes to dealing with the adds on high keys in TD. But if you run outlaw rogue/warrior I'm sure that boss becomes quite a bit easier. At one point I tried taking out my Voidwalker and leaving his threatening presence + taunt activated since he does AE damage and should be able to take threat on the adds. Except they nerfed the shit out of pet threat and if anyone with high burst hits an add or the tank gets aggro the VW doesn't do shit. It's frustrating thinking your class should, in theory, have a way to deal with that and then it just doesn't work.

That first boss of Tol Dagor is just a douchebag regardless of difficulty, I could never figure out why they put that one first and the ones that follow it are pretty easy by comparison.

Yea Ox Statue works well on that fight. You need good cleave on that boss so things like Frost Mage, Outlaw Rogue, Warrior, Balance Druid are what you essentially have to bring if you want to kill him on higher keys. The adds also hit too hard for DPS to have them smashing on them for any extended period of time. It's a healer's nightmare. If even one add gets to the tank and refreshes his stacks you better hope you have a warlock with a SS on the tank.

I'm pretty sure first boss of TD with necrotic is impossible for anyone other than monk tank,.

With clever use of line of sight mechanics and some amount of luck, it isn't impossible. It's just really aggravating. There were plenty of moments in Legion that required the same kind of thing, especially if your tank was a warrior.

The biggest problem with this is that you can't kite the way you did in Legion anymore, so if you aren't careful (and/or lucky), the DPS will get chewed up while you drop your stacks.

3rd boss of temple is the only boss ive ever had a m+ group give up on, and we were aware of what to do and how to do it. Getting the eyes and killing 4th boss is the most annoying/boring fight in all dungeons IMO, enough that I will never ever run temple again.

First boss TD has always seemed like a steamroll, it was the 3rd boss that seemed most challenging for pug grps. Never tried it on high m+ though with various m+ buffs. Glad I haven't had a need to.

Well, I left my subscription lapse.

I'm amazed at how quickly I became bored with the casual stuff this expansion. Well, maybe not since it is just all the same thing as Legion.

Like Arbitrary Arbitrary , I came into Legion late, about 5 or 6 weeks before they released Argus and the final raid so I had a fucking blast leveling and doing interesting shit. BFA has been a huge let down. Drustvar was a huge bright spot as that zone is fantastic, but everything after the journey to 120 has been boring as fuck. The absolute worst thing, though, is that the WQ rewards are dog shit. There is exactly zero reason to grind WQs at all because there nothing to do with the rewards. Why the fuck do I need my 12th copy of Shoalbreach Shoulderplates? Why the fuck are there 3 fucking WQs up at the exact same time that offer the exact same fucking reward. It's like the people who make these decisions have never actually played the game.

Oh well, at least I made out with over $100 in Blizzbucks from herbalism and mining. Hopefully the next expansion is worth dropping money on. The stuff that has come out about 8.1 has certainly made me feel better about not re-upping. Looks like a continuation of the shit show.

Another tip for the first boss in TD on higher keys is to clear the whole island around the boss of mobs, you can make up for the time later with a sucide run to the 3rd boss as you enter the cannon area. If you give yourself room to move around on the first boss it becomes a lot easier so many people still try and clear pack closest to him and call it at that

Getting to play Legion basically all at once was really cool. I was invested in the story, the time gates were between small and non-existent, it was my first experience with the mission table and that had some game play I liked, I enjoyed leveling a Demon Hunter way more than I would have thought, and so on. Even small things like Illidan's voice overs for World Quests I really liked. He just seemed so happy when you were out there emptying your ass all over the Burning Legion.

Right now I've got 55 hours left on my subscription, I'm 1500 reputation away from having all six maxed, I play with the AP bar hidden and pretend it doesn't exist, Azerite traits have disappointed me both in the general and in the specific, I actively hate Island Expeditions, and I feel obligated to finish up this Timewalking Dungeon quest even though I don't want to. Most of what there is to do I dislike. I like very much raiding with the forum guild, I like mythic plus, and I like derping around on low level alts that I know aren't really going anywhere. That's it. The rest of the amusement park doesn't interest me.

Well TD the first boss it's an issue unless it's necrotic otherwise it's a joke. It's just an example of piss poor design decisions with little to no proper testing. If we fall back to the same argument I've made about this expansion over and over is that it was released about 6 months to early. I still firmly believe that.

So many things from

Class Balance
World Quest
M+ tuning/testing
Profession pass through...

the list could go on and on. All of those things would have been resolved completely with just more time to update the content.

I feel the exact same way.

Picked up Forza Horizon 4 this weekend to get a break from WOW (and I don't particularly like racing games), and had a few moments where I stopped to think "wow, I'm actually sitting at my computer playing a video game and having..... fun?". Everything you mentioned being a chore feels the same way to me, other than the raid none of the other systems they have is particularly "fun" to do and it's become more a chore now than it's ever been before. Even Mythic+. I enjoyed it immensely in Legion, but find I'm only doing it in BFA for the chest on Tuesdays. Not sure who worked on this expansion, but it cannot be the same team that gave us Legion.

This section sums up so much of my feelings on this. There are sections of the game I enjoy and have a blast with, it's all the tedious bullshit I feel obligated to do when playing that feel forced on you that really ruins the game.

I saw a comment where they spoke about two teams working on expansions for Blizzard since Wrath if that is truly the case then team two needs to be flushed down the toilet like the aftermath of a Doritos Locos Taco from the Bell.

Team 1 - WOTLK
Team 2 - Cata
Team 1 - MoP
Team 2 - WOD
Team 1 - Legion
Team 2 - BFA

Haha, fuck Team 2. I literally permanently quit early in each Team 2 expansion and came back hyped for the Team 1 expansions, then usually stuck around a while to enjoy them.
