Yeah except their lazy approach to content development has you chasing around useless holotapes all day with nothing worth of note aside from that and then throwing around the buzzword "Emergent" game play, like it's a D&D game from 1982 and you have a teenage DM hopped up on Jolt and Starburts throwing out random encounters and embellishing stories to make the module sound better than it is.

He is better off playing FO3, New Vegas, or FO4 if he hasn't.

Not ripping on you for liking the game btw. But there a million reasons why not to fall into the Bethesda BS on this, and 99.9% of them are valid.

This is getting one of the lowest ratings on Metacritic (I know...I know...) across ANY game from a user score - it is currently aggregate sitting at 2.6 out of 10. Journalists aren't even touching reviews at this point because they know there is NO chance they will be able to out talk their up coming play nice review so they can get access to Starfield news and be the first to break it.

Bethesda needs to get a slap in the face to bring them back to reality. And it all started with ideas to buy out cancelled/struggling game companies and rebrand whatever they had with popular IP's to see what they could make stick to make cash. moved on to their creation club bullshit monetizing mods OTHER people make which in turn builds even more value for their IP's by default and not being happy with that - And it continues here with one of the most valued IP's out there. And that is blatant disregard for the consumer/gamer.

Time to break out the wooden spoon and slap these people up the head sideways with an empty wallet.

Guess what? We were -never- getting a full blown Fallout game until 2023 at best, esp with Elderscrolls and Starfield. People act like this is Fallout 5 and have zero concept of game development times for massive RPGs. It is Fallout 4.5. I’m happy we have this to play in the meantime and it is pretty fun if you give it a chance.

And what people are saying is if they wanted to half ass this like they did it could have been a 19 dollar expansion to fallout 4. This isn’t a full price game under any circumstance. This is an early access free to play title at best where instead of charging 19.99 they slapped a 59 dollar price tag on a poor investment they made in battlecry studios, reskinned it, and used one of their best IP’s to do it all with which flagrantly flips the finger to any customer of theirs making creation club look like a Rockstar game.
