Maybe this belongs in the jimmies rustled thread... So my partner pisses me off by nearly never putting more than 10 or 20 dollars of gas in her car, even though she can afford to fill it up. Such a waste of time, and money due to the stations not always being on the way to places she's going to. It's not even as if she goes into the station for cigs or a drink or anything. Would this "tank never being full" cause issues down the road for the car mechanically? Not really looking for support, but peace of mind one way or another.

My headlights still don't feel 100% anyways. I can't tell if my mind is fucked now though
probably cuz your civic headlights are yellow or super foggy, when i spent like a hour or 2 clearing up one headlight, it was way awesomer cuz my light wasn't being diffracted. (this was when i replaced w/ led over halogen and it still looked like shit).

I don't know if they still do, but cars used to have a relay for headlights that would constantly reset if tripped. That would cause the blink or strobing. Loss of a ground or some other short will do it. It was made that way if you lost your headlight to an electrical issue it would reset and you would get headlights again for a short period till it tripped again.

My uncle fucked with his brother in law once when the brother in law went to a movie. He got into his car (it's a small town and people don't lock their cars) and spliced into his headlight wire and ran it through a turn signal blinker and over to the horn so that anytime the headlights were on the horn would honk continuously at the same rate that a turn signal blinks.

Because the tank is never full, you’re letting trapped moisture in the tank potentially rust the top half of the tank that is never protected by the fuel.

My wife is getting freaked out by the horrible ks drivers and wants a dash cam now

This one Pruveeo F5 1080P Dash Cam with WiFi, Discreet Design Dash Camera for Cars, 170 Wide Angle looks like a high enough quality one at 1080p, i wanna see license plates. I had wanted an all in one front and rear cam but most have the rear cams at 480p, so i figured if this one is good enough i'll just buy another and put it in the back, i mean i don't need to have them all linked up to one unit, who cares really? just gonna be an extra 32gb sd card to fit in, which i have plenty of. I might have some routing issues tho, i already have a backup came routed around the moulding going through the passenger side, guess i'll go through the driver side next.

anyone put dash cams in?

yea i wanted to get a outside and in car cam, but she has a thing about constantly being recorded.

Pretty sure there's an easy way to temporarily disable the inside camera for privacy reasons.. You need the inside camera for thieves.

The inside cam can also prove the driver was not a fault of an accident if they counter-claim was that the driver was looking down, texting, or on the phone. So it's best to leave it on and just not show her the footage.

Most fuel pumps are cooled by the gasoline in the tank. So if the fuel is constantly low it could shorten the life of the pump.

is it weird that every year i only replace the passenger brake light, that one always goes out!

two years ago i decided to not change it pairs(i just heard if you change one, change the other), so the driver side brake light is from like 2015 or so and i've changed the passenger brake light yearly.

I think i'll just get LEDS, the last time i got LEDS it musta been wired wrong cuz they blew a fuse and i've been leary of LED brake lights ever since. (just use basic sylvania)

I'm surprised you change brake lights that often. I've had my wife's car for 9 years and replaced a single.brake light

like i said it's just the passenger bulb that goes out. Hell i don't remember changing the civic at all aside from passenger turn signal.(and replacing headlights to LED).

it's also one of those dual filament bulbs.

My headlights are still really shit. I'm sure something is broken but I'm not sure what. I gave up trying to diagnose it
