I was kindof wondering about that.
What is with the audio? how come thats all we hear? I mean, not even street sounds, cars, etc.

It's a waterproof case. I assume the reason you hear the chain is because that sound transmits through the frame. I'm unreasonably stupid and couldn't figure out how to properly put the open one on the mount. There is also absolutely no manual.

Getting better! Going to try doubles soon.
How did you work up the nerve for that?

Damn, looks cool and like crazy fun but I really cringe in fear just contemplating such a course. One mistake and I can hear my bones cracking. As a road cyclist on snow/ice/sand, I can handle roads, crashing and rolling or skidding to halt on flat is ok..... but that course and those jumps look nuts to me hehe. Much respect man.

I would like to say I just sent it but no it was a good 20 hours of rolling it, building speed, getting air. Repeat until I cleared them. Clearing that second jump feels so good, like the perfect golf swing or thrown spiral. The hardest part is just getting past the mental block and going fast enough to crash if things go wrong. I put on full face, textile motorcycle jacket, knee pads and hauled ass down the roll in, the speed did the work and once I was in the air it clicked. You have to go fast enough to boost to stay in control, at that point it is all about just committing and hitting the lip just right.

I still have a very long way to go, right after the battery died two dudes on enduro bikes hit the same jumps and literally doubled in height(on the second jump) with some style like one footers and table tops/whips.

Going to bring my Trance 2 out there and see what I can do.

Quick flick throw the vid and at 4:16 it looks like the guys are pre jumping the ramp... Its a steep launch and not for xc/am bike... Get the dirt jumper out and go again

Looks like you're absorbing the jump as well to not get fully launched, it'll come with practice. A couple beers to get loose usually helps with the full send.

Picked up a NIB Salsa El Mariachi last night, since I just moved I've got no extra pile of bike parts laying around so might take a while to get rolling but should be able to get out on the trails come spring. Going for a rigid 29er SS cause I'm hip like that.

That is me and that is my DJ. I went out with my FS trail bike and I couldn't get off the lip correctly with any consistency but it did teach me how to feel the full lip. Went last Sat. and Sun. and was definitely getting up and over instead of absorbing the lip with more speed.

We also raised the trail and added drainage, work in progress. Put the wood on there so we can still hit it.

DJ you say, cool.. I don't even remember watching or posting that.
I'm glad to see people building jumps or trails, I've tried and they just get destroyed.

Long story short been digging with the guy that builds Stout STOUT I had no idea who he was until we started talking frames, new build in the coming months will be a custom geo frame from that guy. Going copper frame, brown seat, tan sidewalls etc. Going to be raw.
Some examples of his work from that blog attached.

Drainage is doing well too, didn’t rain all week then Friday night it dumps all night. Above is the aftermath.

I never understood why anyone would willingly pay tons of money for a bicycle. They're like transportation for poor people.

I did when I was like 2. Stopped as soon as I got a license and bought my first car.
