Speaking of, I crushed a Chinese buffet tonight. Wasn't fantastic, but good enough. Their crab puffs were on point. Downed at least 8 of those things.

I think that most serial killers abused animals as kids, but a shitload of boys abused animals as kids and don't grow up to be serial killers. I think it probably has more to do with having unsupervised access to random animals when you're a certain age.

We are getting pretty fucking far away from fast food here I guess.
I know a lot about serial killers. There's a bunch of traits and you're right, that's just one of them. It just happens to be a big and common one.

Back to fast food I suppose. Burger king weirdo still keeps giving me free food, it's kind of weird... I hope he's not gay

gays are the worst. jk. but yeah. I'm a board gamer, tcg, etc. and here in this pocket of the south there's nobody else. So when I found a coworker was just getting into it and was really excited about it all from mechanics to lore. He was literally discovering it all. He had never experienced even LotR.. anyway, so finally, a friend that's not a mindless football watching drinking bro. Turned out he's gay and shit got weird real quick. ghosted that fucker.

I also smashed buffet recently. also mediocre experience. also ate my plates' worth.
Visited some family in the city and the chinese there was the best I had in recent memory, perhaps GOAT. I didn't catch the name tho. Everything I ate from the chicken to the rangoons to the noodles sent this shocking signal through my brain of how fresh it all tasted. I never associated freshness with chinese food before. not only delicious but novel experience.

With that said, sad to say, but for 2019 I'm cutting back on my extracurricular eating. I ran an $11K deficit last year due to wife bullshit.

I spend like $10 a month on fast food. Sometimes none and sometimes a little more. Some dudes here it seems quite often

I'm quite sad that all the good chinse buffets seem to have vanished over the last decade or so. I'm fortunate to have one really nice american chinese place nearby and if I want to make the haul down to Denver have some shady but legit "i don't know what I'm eating" asian restaurants. But the days of 3-4 plates wondering if I'm going to die but it was worth it staggering to the truck seem to be over.

Just as you found, you can usually find 1 good one in the entire city, and that's it. Is it the cost? That's my guess? The cost of food has gone up so much that no one wants to walk in and pay $20 for a buffet, so the buffets have to adapt, and how else are they going to give you all that food for $12? or $10? Whatever, and that's to make it cheap AF, and of course quality suffers. Sucks.

I travel all the time, so I get to try a lot of new places, but usually never go back. So when I find a good place, I star it on Google, for reference, but I rarely am able to go back.

Hiro's Buffet near Parker and Havana. Right next to a big H Mart too, just in case you want to go all in for a month or two of Asian food. Buffet is amazingly good. Sushi buffet as well, which is not as amazing, but still better than average.

if you have access to a Hmart, try eating in the Hmart food court, those stalls are usually great.

I have it on G maps but I never go to the south east side of Denver being from the north.
I dont tend to buy asian groceries just because my wife wouldnt eat most of it, otherwise we have pacific ocean market on 120th that has a bakery with pretty great filled buns, sesame balls etc. Still too far for me to casually visit though. They used to have a great buffet too.

Didn't find any in there last time. Probably hard to compete with a bomb ass asian buffet next door.
it's there, looks like it's in the back
