Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

How can there be any redemption in the next film when they've already killed off pretty much every character from the original series? There's zero to like about any of the new characters, and anything noteworthy in the last two films was basically the result of Han/Luke carrying the PuG.

How much more meaningful would it have been that instead of the Mary Poppins scene that when the blasts hit and the debris cleared, you see Leia on her hands and knees with her hand extended creating a force shield of sorts. Ackbar not knowing of Leia's act, attempt to shield her from death but as he opens his eyes covering Leia he realizes they're all still alive and Leia was saving them though she was failing quickly from the exertion.

This could demonstrate her link to the force and Ackbar attempting to save his Princess and dear friend but only to discover she was saving them all. They then retreat to safety and get away, story continues as is.

It's not that difficult to give iconic figures moments and pay homage to them with a little fan service. It's beyond me why they didn't have little payoffs even if they did end up dying in the end such as Ackbar. He could have died trying to save Leia and the ship even if Leia used the force. It's just crazy to me how many little moments they didn't capitalize on.

He knew. He was one of the only ones that knew, and they snuffed him.

Topher Grace (David Duke in BlackKKKlansman) cut a new Star Wars trailer. Its pretty fucking good and saves you the trouble of watching Solo, TFA, and TLJ

he also apparently recut The Hobbit into a single 3 hour movie while he was filming BlackK, said it was a way to escape the heavy role

A clear indicator the story was written by someone with no real interest in the previous movies. Nobody who cared would have him go out like that

ackbar was handled so poorly that i still have doubts that that WAS ackbar.

Maybe I haven't been keeping up, but outside limited "flashback" or "ghost" type sequences, what role will Luke serve in the next movie considering he's dead?
