You know theres stuff like hormones and their antagonists in your body, that tells it when to grow and when to stop.
Once you know about that its all about finding the correct mix and point in time to inject that into your body.
Ofc this stuff was developed to treat illnesses like Precocious puberty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia but is of course abused in sports.

I am going to revive an old argument: they need to make certain sports give out the equivalent of a Super Medal©

Phelps can swim 15 events if he wants. But some sports have one gold for it's entirety of the competition. Swimming, track, gymnastics, all those with different weight classes can pile up medals. But a sport like Basketball awards three medals for two weeks of competition. There is no medal for different events like full court 5 v 5, Horse, 3 v 3 half court, 12 foot rim, etc.

Wait I think I just came up with new viable sports. Who wouldn't want to see Olympic level Horse?

Thats my gripes i have with the track and esp swimming at the olympics. Even more saddening there are other sports at the olympics that dont even have all their classes qualify for olympic gold, but have world cups and such just fine. Its often not like the very same athletes would run in them, yet in swimming you got the same guys race like 3 times or more a day.

I dont give a fuck about Phelps himself, so idk. Though if someone disappears for some years at a certain age and purely starts at county level tryouts if at all, and reappears at college age at international level, stomping competition to the ground it rings more than one bell in my head, no matter the sport its happening in.
Since i know first hand this was and prolly still is common practice and prolly happening in more than one sport.
Edit: Myself raced against a belive 15 yo, who was build like Stallones little brother while barely grown to 5' yet. Working as inteded ofc.

After watching some rugby matches, I would love to see the biggest NFL badasses out there slamming around. Gronk, Watt, Peterson, Von Miller... sweet jesus I'd feel bad for the rest of the world.

Team USA got saved by offensive rebounding on this one, not by teamplay.

Watched beach volleyball all day. There was a wrist injury that stopped it.

His hungarian opponent was not exactly a rookie too as the 41 year old won the bronze medal in 1996! At the time Park was not even 1 year old!

Women's beach Volleyball and the Swiss are wearing full length body suits ?
