I feel so bad that they made this. Especially after hearing Bill talk about it.

"If we did another Bill and Ted it would have to be funny. So where's the funny? Well these guys supposedly saved the universe, so lets catch up with them 30 years later and see what ACTUALLY happened! HIJINKS"

No, please god no. #1 was a masterpiece. #2 was self referential and crappy. #3... I don't see how it's anything except better left unmade.

It can't work . . . the appeal was always that they were chilled out carefree teenagers, sorting out their lives in their own way / style.

And now we're going to catch up with them in their late 40s - 50's . . . hmmm.

I think it can work. Tough to write yeah. but it could.
The world has changed since the 80's. and yeah, showing those dumb radical teens from the 80's as adults now does have potential.

No George though. ugh. that alone. how the hell do you replace him? have John Stewart/Colbert or Oliver?

I would have Reeves be himself. Write the character to have grown up to be basically Keanu himself.

Basically, do not do Dumber and Dumber 3 or whatever that is.

the second movie wasnt bad , it just had some really bad rough patches which slowed the momentum down to a crawl. i loved all the stuff with the evil robot bill and ted and the baddie Denomolous. i liked their afterlife stuff somewhat, could have done with out the lame as fuck grim reaper.
a third film could work, but i think you are going to need a really good script and it has to not fuck the ending of B&T 2 in the ass. in other words it cant be lazy. in today's market its gonna be hard to find a writer who can do all this and not command a premium salary.

First movie I saw in the theatre sans parents was the first Bill and Ted, so it kind of holds a special place in my heart. So much so that through my teens, I saw the movie 100+times and remembered every line. I hated the second movie. I wanted so hard to like it, but it was absolute shit. For some reason I'm looking forward to this one. I really hope it works.

The Easter Bunny part from the second movie was the most frightening film experience of my childhood.

I enjoyed both of them to some degree, with the first being amazing and the second just "alright". I'm skeptical but secretly hoping it's awesome.

The first movie is a classic amongst my siblings and I. The second was ok. There were good parts, but it's not even close as to which movie was better.

What I can see them doing for the third film is:

It gets established in the first film that they grow up to be a rock band that is globally massive, the future society had embraced their teachings and mindset etc. At the end of the second film we see them now talented (after they went away and trained). Setting them up to be famous and wealthy etc etc

So a guess is that some 'Evil dude' uses time travel to remove or alter a piece of the past which changes space-time and they never get famous or talented, making them just some middle aged losers. Evil dude is able to become powerful as a result. And then perhaps Bill and Ted still have a minor link to the old past and know that the new future is changed or a new character appears and tells them of the truth. Setting up for another time / dimension travel adventure.

^^ But all just speculation.
