Not sure if you've tried this but I turned off cross network play in the settings and it was an notiecable improvment.

There is A LOT of buggy shit with this game atm. That and a lot of underbaked mechanics like resistances.

According to kripp minions just use your weapon damage and have their own attack speed values. They do inherit crit and other stats from you though. So slow weapons like scythes are best. There is also a separate minion attack speed affix on gear but I haven't seen that too much.

Well found out that minion and DoT builds don't scale with attack speed at all; was using a 1hand/focus for a bit then found a good two handed scythe and it's a world of difference.
