"I don't want to go back to Vietnam, Kimmy! It's full of baby boomer tourists trying to feel something!" I lost it.

I've been playing it off and on. It's grindy, but there are some really good quests in the game. Like, top notch stuff. Also very populated, though the community is split between old school and RS3.

Troll Hunter. Anyway, this looks awesome imo. This is coming from a guy who grew up with Godzilla and has seen every movie. He seems like a zombie, unaware and uncaring about what happens around hi. I'm pretty hyped, I just hope there's an American release.

Isn't this kind of what Smed's game will be, except not turn based?

God damn I wish we could just clone Chris Reeve. Why is every fucking comic book character dark and gritty now? For Batman it makes sense, but Superman? *sigh* And yeah, I get that now days you can't have a super campy Superman like Reeve's movies were, but the character doesn't have to be so...

God, they should have waited for April 1st to reveal that. Watch the whole world burn.

They have these at my local Gamestop as well as at Barns & Noble. Pretty cool. Anyway, to keep with the thread.

This is going to tear shit up in wild, that's for sure.

I really don't think the screen is going to be used for the actual game. Like, imagine this pic but with just the buttons. The buttons can also change depending on whats happening. As for using the screen for the actual game, I think that'll be rare.

It's all going to come back to haptics to be honest. But I'm on the same boat. I'll try it, but a lack of physical buttons has me extremely cautious. Also, apparently Wii U will still be in production. Was just a rumor from what I understand.

I agree. The thing that made MMOs magical to me in the first place was having to interact with other people. I think it's a human trait to want to band together to take on a challenge that we can't do alone. It's probably something left over from our hunter/gatherer days. But he's not wrong...

27 here. Played back in my lower teens. I'm not worried about the visuals yet. I just hope they get a good character model artist. Fuck, outsource to korea or something if you have to. Those fucking guys know how to model.

Indeed, only thing I could say is it needs more color? Honestly I think the character models matter most. Look at FFXIV. Uses a lot of brown and grey, but the character models and gear sticks out so much that it makes the game look cool and very unique. I would love it if they went with a...

Should be able to improve a fair bit since a lot of stuff is place holder graphics. I'm wondering if they can upgrade the visuals when Unity updates to a new version again.

Well, looks like trains are in. LMAO

To be fair, how many times were the naysayers right about the games in the last few years? Just about every time. I'm happy as fuck to be wrong.

Ranger just Rangered.

Meanwhile Pantheon plays like EQ, and is shown off on the day that EQ Next dies. God damn, Brad. Cold as ice.

Brad just nerfed Mont live on stream. lol

Yup, a new EQ. I'm in, they got me. I do hope they add some fresh ideas, though. But this is looking solid and it's looking like EQ.

Not gonna lie, that buff sound hit me right in the nostalgia.

It looks generic, but it seems pretty sound. I think the fact that you can get an engine with built in assets helps A LOT.

That dance though. Edit: EQ LOOT lol

Well at least this exists in some form.

It seems to have fallen. The screen has been black for a while now.

Its about to start. Some music is playing.

Implying Brad ever listened to people before.

Well, hopefully someone takes the good ideas from it and runs with it. Until then I'll play Runescape and Gorgon and hope Pantheon becomes a thing. They have all of those assets though. They should remake EQ1.

Name is Valryn, add me bitches!

I popped in with a new character, still feels the same to me. Gotta figure out how to get off of this island though. lol

Honestly not sure. It's not a huge population as it's alpha. The game is still very early. Has a lot of promise though.

There's already an end game? Lol, I thought everything was pretty much a place holder at this point.

Shit, if there's a Rerolled guild I'd pop in. I'll probably get cut off for a bit when it goes on steam, but I plan on buying the game at some point in the future. Would be nice if they let us poors continue testing the game, though.

I mean, building the basics of the game and then adding to it after it's done is how I'd do it. So I'll give them props on that.

From what I understand once the game goes up on Steam, you'll have to buy to play it. I don't have a problem with that of course, just wondering when that might be.

I just think it's impressive considering the game started out as this... As for why this never happened with EQ... I'm guessing because Runescape just gets fully revamped, where as EQ just got loaded down with half sassed revamps and sequels. As for weather adults play Runescape, yeah...

So when are we supposed to hear something new about this game?

So Runescape is the undying MMO, it's been around for as long as I can remember. It seems to be getting another huge upgrade soon. They're finally leaving Javascript back! Just thought it'd be interesting to talk about. I always pop into Runescape every few months. It's hard to believe this game...

God, can you imagine the relief this kid is feeling?
