Still, the only semi-fantasy sandbox game that I even know of is Haven & Hearth. Which was a good game, but the UI is shit and permadeath is hard bro.
Edit: The best thing is that they're selling the engine so people can make their own MMO. That alone is pretty huge.
If I were them, I'd try to get more games on board. I'm talking ones that aren't currently on Steam. League of Legends, Heroes of Newearth, Hawken, Mech Warrior Online, etc. The less stuff I'd have to stream from my PC, the better.
I can't even find the abilities merchant for my level 58. Made a Lancer, so this is going to be a bitch to figure out and actually group up with people.
I've been fucking around with the Lancer in the game since it's F2P now, and it's pretty damn responsive so far. If there's one thing Terra has right, it's action combat. And Wildstar needs to nail that.
So why are they getting people to level 58 when they won't know what the hell they're doing?
Oh well, this should be fun to fuck around with. Anyone on the first server on the list? I forget what it's called.
I think someone could so a really good MMO if they don't try to make a huge, sprawling world. If it were me, I'd go with an isometric view to cut down on art assets needed. You also wouldn't have to worry so much about zone size.
I think a niche, hardcore MMO could do wonders.
Got the new PC, friend built it for me since I have pretty unsteady hands, but I think he put the PSU in upside down. Not really a big deal at the moment, as I've been watching the temperature (GPU stays at around 30 idle, 45 - 60 during games). I think when I add my SSD in the next two or three...
Quick question. That stuff on the bottom of the heat sink that came with my processor. It almost looks like a clay, but I can leave a finger print in it. Is that the thermal paste?
I kind of expected something you apply, or stick on. But I saw nothing in the box.
I see.
Would it be possible to create two partitions on the hard drive, one for the OS and one for games. That way when I get the SSD, I can delete the OS partition on the normal HDD, install the OS on the SSD and save myself a lot of new installations?
If this is a dumb idea, forgive me...
Parts are coming in tomorrow. Friend is going to help me put it together. So excited.
Since I'll be getting a SSD around cyber monday, will there be a way to transfer stuff from my normal drive to the SSD one? Or will I have to reformat and re-do everything?
Planning on trying to grab one of these during cyber monday. What I just ordered alone put me over me limit for now. Now to remake the money I just spent. lol
Whelp, I guess I'd better buy it before shit starts to rise. They have a nice bundle on newegg.

Good deal?
I've never been much for having the best resolutions, I just want to be able to play my game at whatever resolution (a decent resolution, but nothing crazy) at a good frames per second. I'm not really after turning everything up to max all the time.
To be fair, my paranoia comes from the fact that like, a year or so after I got my PC, dual-core processors (and higher) started coming out, along with a new version of Direct X that I immediately couldn't even get on my PC a year later.
It was just like, a major architecture change happened...
So, do you guys think that the new consoles releasing will cause a huge spec bump in PC gaming? I'm afraid that I'll buy this computer, and then suddenly it won't be able to run shit in about 3 years. This has happened to me before, where specs just kind of blew up from like, 256 megs of RAM on...
