Pretty much every stat says you're wrong about Game 1, especially the first 40 minutes. 10 shots on goal through 2 periods? Woof. By the time they did anything it was already 4-0. Disagree on them being the better team far and away tonight too. We out-shot them all 3 periods, just let their...

On the bright side, the way everyone was shooting in those final 5 minutes, that game might still be going on if not for Kyrie burying that 3.

Attending the game tonight, hopefully the crowd gets over any jitters with us having beat the Pens and looking as good as we are of late. Kept hearing about "what an experience" the Tampa fans made down there, pretty sure tonight is going to shit on any energy they brought in Games 1 and 2.

Only real differences between the two is that one guy left the best overall team in the league 2 years running, and one guy did it first. It just happens to be the same guy in both instances. Durant learned from the creator, just so far he actually has a winning record in Finals since doing...

I agree Durant pulling the LeBron Beta move has kind of ruined any current team's chance of beating this Warrior's team. Maybe if Kyrie was healthy to hit the series winning shot against them, Celtics would have a shot.

GS gives no fucks.

Although you wouldn't totally know it in the NBA, as much as we hear about today's players needing to take games off to rest.

This. Was worried shit was starting to go south, then they drop an episode like this. Hope lives.

Line of the season.

Honestly I think it is. Doing this without Backstrom is insane. I've never seen us look this good top to bottom 5 on 5. Holtby playing well too. Where are the holes? We're at least going to give ourselves a chance no matter who we face if we play this way. Getting some scoring from the...

Still like that scoring chances and shots are even or slightly in our favor despite their two PP's though.

Is what it is. Can't change it, Caps probably a little used to it with certain instances of goalie interference over the years in the playoffs. Maybe refs throw a ticky tack call the other way at some point. Have to take advantage if so.

Penalty Kill could still be better and bail us out there, maybe kill at least one of the two. Still, only being down a goal after 20 isn't too bad.

Par for the course, win anyways. "Adversity".

Yet another 2 minute penalty for simply being Tom Wilson.

Watching NBC, you'd think the only reason we won Game 1 was a waived off goal that Kucherov was so unlucky to have called back, and us scoring right away on the PP resulting from it.

Maybe real D's is gold.

Posting in a legendary thread.

All 4 teams left "deserve it" as far as that goes. Yzerman has done such a good job down there in Tampa building that team up...I don't need to go over the Capitals history or Ovechkin deserving a Cup finally, everyone knows about it. I honestly would say Vegas deserves it the least, with how...

He said domestically

More like the suck level of Disney Star Wars and the young Han actor can overcome anything positive.

Could have predicted this, question is does he steal it enough to make it worth a watch

Weird spot to be in yeah, with that conditional pick. I highly doubt we see the same Tampa team tomorrow night. Obviously already grabbing a game down there is good, but I think it will help Backstrom not rush back. No idea what is wrong with his hand, but reports say he feels pretty...

Caps/Vegas Finals would be nuts considering it would be us vs. our former GM.

That kid has been a revelation in these playoffs. He's like Vrana lite with his speed, although not nearly the offensive instincts. Still, could have had an assist when Carlson hit the crossbar, and on the Eller almost goal. I'm really hoping that if we let Beagle go sign somewhere for too...

Never seen a team with such a low conversion % on odd man rushes like we have. Good thing we got some breaks earlier in the game, those penalties in the 3rd might have come back to bite us otherwise.

We're getting all the breaks currently. TMM ice to negate a goal at end of a period and score on the PP with 3 seconds left? Then two whiffs that turn into goals? I'll take it, but save some of these bounces for later games.

Nice to not see most of the fans there complain about the most obvious TMM penalty you'll see. I bet lots of guys wish they could just hop over the bench behind the D like that.

Of leaving his feet before contact on a hit in the playoffs. (btw, I bolded "before") Edit: StoiC you forgot that whenever we get Pierre, we'll hear about how great of a human being and all around player Callahan is, along with where Brayden Point played junior hockey.

Yeah this was the joke where it was posted too. First actual case of it. 5 game suspension inc. Funnier thing is he's taller in street clothes than Kuzy is on skates.

It's Friday, and Game 1 is tonight.

One of those fights that should absolutely deliver.

Fuck Syfy

Damn, Nashville ruined my perfect. 11-1 not too bad though Caps in 7 Jets in 6

I'm not sure who I'm rooting for tonight. I would have thought Winnipeg would have the edge with how they looked in Game 5, but Nashville's 4-0 stomping on the road Monday night makes me think they aren't going to blow it at home tonight.

I feel like Woody and Glover need to completely save this movie, but even that might not be possible. I want to believe but not sure I can trust Star Wars again after Last Jedi.

I'll wait until this round is over before doing CF picks, but I'm going to say Caps in 7 just for fun

Might try, Tues/Thursday are bad days for me though.

Go to which game? No one plays tonight b/c Justin Timberlake is performing in Nashville tonight.

Go put on that old Fleury jersey and root for Vegas?
