This actually looks good. SOE has really been stepping it up lately.

Wall of elements is a good choice and morph it to unstable wall. Also use destructive staff and morph it. With a flame staff the knock back stops most mobs special attacks.

I think I read you have a 60% chance to get a hero that is not a current starter. I got hawkeye and I didn't have him yet so I'm ok with that.

I've gone from level 50 to 55 so far. This event is dropping lots of cosmic and uniques. Must've gotten about 15 cosmic, 4 uniques and 2 uru forged items so far. Most during the x-def time.

You should be able to get to the store by pressing "X". The packs show in game for me. I just dropped $40 on this game to buys space and Iron Man. Brings my hero total to 4 now.
