Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Games

But that's Larian studios, their storylines are always super epic world-core essence changing. In DoS 1 you get to the end of time and the portal nexus of the universe at like lvl 5 as well. DoS 2 takes you to the plane of the dead at like lvl 7, and meeting the worlds most powerful beings...

Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Games

Good RPG company takes good IP and then tries to make it into something its not, into one of their own games. The game becomes some weird hybrid losing the magic of the original IP and the mold it is forced into. Huge BG fan, DoS was alright, not sure if i will buy this or not.

    Pathfinder: Kingmaker

the best parts of RPGs are the mid-game, high enough level to actually land hits and fight enemies tougher than basement rats, tough enough to feel like you're actually making an impact in the world, and low enough for things to not get ridiculous.

yeah dipping into a few levels of other classes will most likely be worth it on the whole, except maybe for pure casters. the game definitely gets easier as you get higher level until you hit the house at the edge of time, where the game ramps up to the extreme (at least on hard and unfair...

exactly, the joker was also a bad movie, his "origin story" was ridiculous. better to just have him being dumped in acid and go crazy as an "explanation" if people need one. him starring in some kind of bad edgy version of the King of Comedy was just... ugh.

    The Stand

yeah, for most story companions, you only "lose" a couple of levels before you can level them into decent classes. Regongar, Octavia, Linzi, Valerie, Amiri, Harrim, Jaethal and Tristian you get them early enough that you can specc them into something better. the only ones who are really bad out...

I guess one shouldn't be too surprised about King writing himself into his own book. whenever he's involved with a movie/TV adaptation of his works he joins in as an extra in it. ha also adds a lot of cringey scenes into TV adaptations, like the old Shining version.

yeah these days, the combined power of the internet will very likely guess the ending of your story, especially if you attract enough of a following, very quickly. people even guessed the Hodor thing long before a dance with dragons. it's like the Lost series, people guessed the "mystery" within...

I think it was all pre-planned. and people have seen Bran becoming king as a very strong possibility since the start. the only thing that seems really out of touch and kind a stupid is the way the Night King ended, way before Cersei and everything else. yeah the whole barony building part of pathfinder really drags down the game for me, the game time deadlines are also an annoyance. plus the first 5-6 levels are terrible, after that the game opens up. the storyline, NPC interactions and dungeon-delving are all really really solid.
