Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

To be fair, the server capping at PoP doesn't mean they won't/can't have some "extension server" or something that they allow free transfers to for those that don't want to stagnate. Two birds with one stone if they do.

Ah crap, scratch us this week after all - wife just reminded me we've got a 9am appointment tomorrow and with her 2 hrs she likes to get ready, we'd have to leave partway - no sense in bothering.

I don't imagine it'll eclipse Bioshock - but there's been nothing that's scratched that itch well in nearly a decade. I expect it to be a B+ title personally. Solid but not amazing.

Also, another tip is that more than a couple of the confidants will give you social stats as you're working them - Sun (politician) has seemed like the best route for raising Charm that I've found, sure its not always available, but a huge "free" bonus while you're working him.

It takes a bit, but you can save "actions" on making Curry/Coffee for SP regen by leveling up Kawakami for 5k per time - once you get her max she even waives the fee which is insane. (plus, she can give you a "special massage" [and yea, pretty sure it's in quotes for a reason] to let you still...

    Eternal the Card Game

The mulligan mechanic has taken some getting used to since it's MTG similar, but also different enough to progress differently. It's an initial learning curve that of course still has rare screws in the longrun - but they're easy to mitigate as you get familiar. Tons of people use the fixers...

You've done yourself a disservice if you ever liked Thief back in the day and you've not played Dishonored - they were far better "Thief" style games than the Thief reboot was. I think that's another that's on sale this week too. ($15-20 range though, not the sub-$10 IIRC) And nice info on the...

    Eternal the Card Game

I've spent a total of $10 (bought the buy-only sigil thingy for the sidebar as a "thank you") and have 100% of cards made, 86% on the "playset" tracker. And that's in around 2 months of rarely playing much more than knocking out quests. (I do still trash all my premiums though)

Prey looks amazing for those that liked Bioshock. If you weren't a Bioshock fan, I can't imagine it'll be worthwhile though. (I was a Bioshock fan, so I'm very much looking forward to it personally though)

Yea, thats the part of the list I'm not sure on for ME:A. Only one that's not completely obnoxious and feels like "exploring" that I'm missing is the do all the puzzles one, the others are the stupid shit like using powers and jumping far. At least the jumping ones are stupid and should only...

To be fair, there is a supernatural element to Uncharted games as well - just buried a tad later than TR. But I would agree, the quantity is "scratching the surface" level compared to TR. (Which didn't even have a fuckton itself - think it was close to a sweet spot for how much though, personally)

Perhaps - I've not given any besides UC4 a try post-Tomb Raider. But when I'd tried 2/3 pre-TR they just never quite hit the spot. And story without gameplay absolutely does influence stuff like Metacritic FYI - maybe not as a universal rule - but The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series with...

Heh, this conversation made me actually look at my list for stuff to finish, I'm shocked that I'm still missing a few ME2/3 ones. (Apparently I never bothered trophying ME3 DLC - and ME2 I missed the timed thing for Arrival)

For being "bad advice" it seems to be getting mirrored by others - with their own variants of phrasing the same thing as me. "Storyline/cutscene" stuff that you could experience via a "Let's Play" series of videos is top notch - actual gameplay elements are lacking. I wasn't stating it as...

Nope, some similar gaming habits though - but as far as I'm aware plat'ing stuff isn't his deal. His profile on PSN seems to reinforce that too - 28 plats with 204 games (Sean), 56 plats with 124 games (me) So I've platted close to half, he's closer to 15%. There's other platinum'ers around...

I wasn't trying to claim it was THAT similar - I was stating a recent shooter that I enjoyed that used some light cover mechanics. I'm not going to debate the nuance of shooters though, frankly, I don't particularly like too many shooters so I'm relatively poorly versed on them. Doom 2 was the...

Shrug, to me HZ:D felt almost 100% like Far Cry mashed up with TR. Besides the "tearing" and specific targeting mechanics within fights - that was relatively unique for these style of games. Not too much I've played recently where it's used as a common thing, rather than a gimmick in a few...

Never had an input lag issue with my XB1 version - not that there weren't solutions from what I recall with Untayan's rants on how annoying it was. It did sound awful if it effected you, but I got to be one of the lucky ones that didn't experience it.

Uh... cover shooters are boring as shit. I always go for most difficult off the bat, and UC2-3-4 (I never bothered trying 1 at all got into PS3 too late for it to be the first - would've gone backwards if I liked the others) demanded constant cover hopping. To date, I've really enjoyed ONE cover...

Disliking 1 90ish metacritic and liking 4 80+'s is "bad opinions"? Okie, doke. And mind you, I wouldn't diss UC for everyone - it just wasn't for me. Just like although I love Persona 5 - I'd not recommend it to alot of people that aren't into JRPG/Anime stuff.

Dunno, most seem to add handy procs for grinding out with auto attack and/or when there's an immune. First midlevel transmute I did for Morgana has a pretty consistent Despair proc which has been handy vs Wind immunes/etc.

No, Uncharted is a pale comparison IMO - at least gameplay wise. Uncharted I could never play all the way through because I really don't go for dull shooters. RotR I'd compare to Horizon (or LotU) for how fun the play is, Uncharted was less fun than Doom.

From my "over the shouldering" P4, I definitely agree with Rize and Kanji. Rest of the characters were pretty forgettable though.
