IT/Software career thread: Invert binary trees for dollars.

So, fun morning. While I was on vacation a couple of problems popped up with a new app I developed to replace one of the older apps we use since Google deprecated one of the libraries. No big deal since it was running on the Test Network (remember kids, don't test in Production). Been looking...

If anyone from here is playing, but isn't super hardcore about it and just wants to do shit, hit us up. TDB is the remnants of the less-than-hardcore PRX guild, XRP. We're trying to build back up a bit after PRX went unofficial and other events caused us to drop down to a mere 33 members. Edan...

A quick word about ITIL. I had to go through the bullshit of Foundation certification at my Data Center job and did two more intermediate modules (where I outscored all the managers and my director in the exams, and they wondered why I was salty that I made less than the idiot who had to take...

If you plan to P2W your best bet is value packs. You get more overall from your 5 weekly sells from outfits but you'd have to watch for requests from people to make sure the set doesn't just sit on the market. Packs sell almost instantly though. Open offer for anyone wanting/still playing to...

Agreed. The body of work doesn't match the long term value. The only positive is the out they gave themselves if things fall apart. And they might. It is the Bills after all.

I can't see clear details in the nfl.com article but it appears only this year (~$9m) is fully guaranteed and the team has the option of not picking up the contract next year (worth $27m). Nothing is there on subsequent years. But it looks like it's a super "prove it" deal that might need him to...

    No Man's Sky

Yes and no. Post on steam. There's three common issues: - Running the game with an Intel card. This is not supported - No Man's Sky is an OpenGL 4.5 game, and requires latest drivers on most cards, please update - VC++ Redist 2010 was not included by default. We have updated in a patch...

More power to the people who feel the need to put up real money items just to make silver in this game. I mean, silver generation is pretty easy in and of itself. I figure I'll be loaded up on enough value packs to last me into next year before too long. Make the money back within a few days of...

Diving into the realm of building roms from Android Source. The stock rom we get from the manufacturer has a lot of stuff we don't need so we always end up getting the img from them, extracting it, removing things we don't need, and rebuilding it. However, it's still the stock img, just less...

Sounds like Fielder might be done playing entirely. Still no regrets over the trade. At the time the Rangers needed a big bat and they had Profar ready to slide into Kinsler's place. That things didn't work out as planned is unfortunate but that's the risk you take with every move, even more so...

@Phazael You wound me bro. No real improvements? Elliot is a massive upgrade over McFadden and a better fit for the blocking scheme. Even Morris is an upgrade over the backups last year. AFC East - Pats - Brady comes back and wins 12 straight while dry humping opposing defensive coordinators after every TD. Non node war PvP exists in two, maybe three spots in the game. Ogres, Pirates, and Sausans. I do none of those on a regular basis. Node wars have largely been a joke since the first week, at least from my point of view. XRP hasn't had to actively defend a node since we got them. That might...

The backlash on this is astounding. I only half understand the vitriol, it doesn't bother me one bit if a credit card hero can sit on his ass, spend $150 a week and after a month or so have enough to buy a TET Kzarka. Me? I'll spend time farming some silver and buy a costume or two that gets...

For your sanity I would as well. In an unreleated topic: I learned today that a couple of images we use as part of our news shows don't have an alpha channel, despite being PNGs. No, they just transform the white pixels they need to be transparent within the Bitmap object before displaying them.

Beltran will probably split RF/DH duties with Choo once he's done being hurt. With Fielder going on the 60-day and probably not playing again this year, it's a good pick up. I don't know the ins and outs of the Rangers farm system but most people are okay with giving up Tate since he's...

I know. My situation is sort of like Noodles. I'm on the Software team but I'm the only one working on this specific aspect of our product line. I'm sure I would do fine but if I were to leave where I am now it would be a hole in my experience.
