Pretty much this, when it comes to just easy and screen bombs multishot allows you to effectively vault/MS the entire map to smithereens. There are few builds that do it faster (if any).

I've never seen red gems used on any class except barb/crusader. You should be using int (yellow) gems for dmg/resists, or at the very least white ones (pure resist).
