If you play a shaman, you can easy mode the entire game by dumping your points into their bleed/lifesteal insect swarm skill (forget the name?) as it pretty much one shots entire paths of enemies. Between that and the life regen totem, if that's your first spec choice its pretty hard to die...

I've never really pushed past grift 95's (or thereabouts), does paragon xp just get stupid high in the 100's? I remember it peaking around the 7-800's where you got multiples per rift but I assume it slows way the hell down? 1600 is nuts at day 3

It's definitely niche, but having 1 of 2 (3?) daggers in the pool to upgrade legendaries you can pretty much get an ancient karlei's for minimal investment making the rest of it a breeze. The same can't be said for any other set o_O

Grim Dawn & Titan Quest are essentially the same game in different myths (greek vs... I don't know, dark travel-y?) so if you've played that GD isn't much different except quality of it.

Icyveins is probably the next best thing. Ultimately for any build, you likely need all the legendary items to make it work above t9-t10. Just having a 6 piece will usually give you the damage to clear 10, but survivability becomes questionable without some of those damage reduction items.
