If you're having that kind of problem with the dumbbell curl you should lower the weight. I've never seen nor heard of anyone injuring themselves doing dumbbell curls in the way you described, and I see old women doing dumbbell curls all the time. Hell, I'm having a hard time picturing what you...

I know, and I still think the benefits are negligible for the vast majority of people. I've been doing fasted workouts for 2 years now; I wake up, drink a cup of black coffee, and hit the gym 5 days a week. In that time I've made huge gains in fat loss and muscle growth and strength. Is it...

You're not going to injure yourself by lifting moderate dumbbells or doing bench press with moderate weight. The people who get injured are the ones who are pushing their strength limits by squatting several hundred pounds and whatnot. I understand not wanting to do things that can mess up...

You probably won't like my response since it's purely anecdotal and not supported by research studies, but free weights (especially barbell) seem to give the best workout. I know I feel it more when I do overhead press with a barbell as opposed to dumbbells, and much, much more than when I do...

Stuff like BCAAs might be useful for optimizing your results, but I honestly think for normal people (i.e., everyone other than athletes and bodybuilders) the difference between using something like BCAAs and not using them is going to be pretty damn negligible even if it technically is...

I was referring to places that teach English as a foreign language to people of all ages; the kind of places you see advertisedhere, for example. They are a dime a dozen and some are decent (International House affiliations) and some are quite literally one-room shacks. These kinds of places are...

Yeah, I made one of those and that's why I had the leftover wafers and cool whip. For some reason I never thought to just buy them separately and eat them like chips and dip. Now I know better! I'm looking forward to Game of Thrones on Sunday.

That sounds gross, but it reminded me of a delightful food combination I discovered recently. I had an extra tub of Cool Whip and 2/3 of a box of Nilla Wafers, and I found that the Cool Whip makes a delicious dip for the Nilla Wafers.

Yes, you definitely need to do some research (or use common fucking sense) when ordering fast food salads. Lots of them come with fried chicken tenders, fried corn tortilla chips, and other calorie bombs. Your average American stupidly assumes that salad = healthy/low calorie, and gets fat. I...

I'd never spend that much time in the gym, but I can see doing that if you really enjoy working out. I used to do something similar to the routine Convo posted and each workout was like 1 - 1.5 hours. Nowadays I'm in and out of the gym in 30 minutes or so.

That's a pretty awful blanket statement to make about salads. You can get salads that are filled with meat, nuts, cheeses, and various kinds of vegetables. If you're worried about oils and fats (which I don't think you really need to be in most cases), you can always go light on the dressing...

I use panko bread crumbs in most of my breadings because it gives a nice crispiness without the need to fry. I don't think I would like half the breaded stuff I cook if I didn't use panko bread crumbs as a base for my breading.

The main reason to send repeated emails instead of going to find the person face-to-face is that emails give you a 'paper trail' to cover your own ass when shit inevitably doesn't get done and they come looking for someone to blame. You can produce the emails and show that you did your due...

I always use skinless chicken breasts. I also always go really light on the flour, so this might be a problem. Next time I'll try skipping the oil and making sure it's covered more in flour before the egg bath and breading. Thanks!

Is there a secret to getting breading to stick to chicken? Most recipes I've seen generally use some kind egg/oil mixture to coat the chicken before applying breading. This works moderately well and the breading sticks to the chicken throughout the baking process, but when you cut into it the...
