Welcome to the party dude. That's what I'm doing - just staying up until the new server pops, grabbing a good claim spot, then going to bed.

Well, that is hopefully fixed in the next patch. They are going to change the way the system works so that there is blue on the map where you can drop a claim, and red where you cannot. And get rid of the 3d claim box all over the fucking map mess that there is right now.

And let me tell you that shit is fucking lame. Especially for those that either couldn't find a claim, or had to go the the furthest possible place from the spire portal to put one down.

Cinge I think you would like it, and getting in on it now after they clean up all the issues with claims would only increase the enjoyment you get from not having to deal with the bugs the rest of us have endured so far. Getting a refund is definitely a no brainer!

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea that SOE had licensed the voxel tech (I thought they just did it on their own through the forgelight engine), and this post answers some of my questions about how water is going to work.

I was trying to wrap my head around how they are going to get water to work in this game with having the voxels heal themselves over time. If we divert water from a river into a valley to create a lake, will it disappear back to the original flow and destination of the river? Or are they going...

Honestly, if he says they are going to bring down the alpha for a while to fix the bugs that are preventing us from long term testing, I'm all for it. As much as I want to play, I have plenty of other games that are on the back burner.

I think you just need to be in the same map as the claim, but don't quote me on it as I'm not in game. Either way, you click on the flag icon, and hit "delete".

Are you playing the EQN:L alpha? Limited like that or more so? I am checking out the project:gorgon game after the recommendation here, and I am pretty impressed with it just being a couple of dudes + unity. Seems like the engine is pretty versatile.

Playing Project: Gorgon while I wait for the servers to come back up - not too bad for a couple of dudes + the Unity engine. I can see why Brad McQuaid is using it for his hopefully funded new game.
