Nostalrius was 5 years ago. The last big pserver (LH Northdale) had higher concurrent and no queues even on launch. Other technical issues were at least transient instead of built-in a la leeway and spell batching.

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Only if by "better" you mean higher poly count and texture resolution; by every other measure that actually matters they don't surpass EQ, let alone WoW. In screenshots, Pantheon has that generic plastic quality typical of indie efforts trying to rival those of the big studios (even the latter...

2 years later... the almost sad state of MMOs in the new era

EQEmu is useless for doing anything but running a private EQ server. It'd take more time and effort to tear out all the EQ-specific functionality and retrofit it for your purposes than to just write an ad hoc server from scratch (or employ one of the many off-the-shelf networking solutions...

    Final Fantasy VII Remake

Hearing the same randomly selected, canned remarks punctuating every other action for hours on end seems a surefire way to increase immersion. This trend of pretending at Hollywood was the worst thing that ever happened to videogames, and one that'll probably never end because advancing...

    Final Fantasy VII Remake

Haven't played an action game or RPG released in the last 15+ years, so I'm curious to know when ceaseless retarded banter between characters as exhibited in the FF7 remake became the norm.

Poll UO Outlands: Launching October 27, 2018 at 11AM EST

No. If nothing else, the custom map destroys any "authenticity" value this server has. Worse, the extensive systems changes are part of some misguided effort to shoehorn in more content at any cost. I see vertical-oriented progression, convoluted special-case rules resulting in segregated...
