To be fair from what I'm seeing lategame you don't use half the skills you have, only some specific ones. It still requires you switch weapons constantly though which sounds annoying.

Diablo is older than UO/EQ though, ARPG gameplay isn't some "new kids" shit. It's also basically the same as modern mmo gameplay(and modern here is somewhat loose, talking wow vanilla) in terms of just pressing buttons as they come up. It is certainly not for everyone though.
