I'm pretty sure the only things that really need ongoing Marvel approval is the hero models/costumes, which gets done well before any coding starts for that hero.

I don't use a controller, so I can't speak to that. And yeah, GFWL is shit, but I never had to use it, since I played offline. I've put several hundred hours in, and the only glitch I ever encountered was a single fall through the world when sliding down a ladder (which I've done many times with...

8 Starting classes. http://fextralife.com/forums/t25899/...rting-classes/ There's a rumor that there may be 2 more yet to be announced, since both previous souls games had 10. Interesting that they went from every class starting with a shield, to just 1.

I've been trying to figure this out myself. And it's been difficult to decipher from various vids, plus there have been changes between the time of the network test and the recent "almost complete" build some people have access too. As near as I can figure, as of now, it's affected by both...

    The Originals

All the Rebecca shit is lame retconning anyway. All made up in the last few episodes to add drama. Remember how the only reason she came to New Orleans was cause she was worried about Elijah, then was leaving again, then turned around to help Elijah again. Then all of a sudden, she wants to take...

Yeah, wasn't sure where he got the idea they were equal. Pretty much everyone agrees that playing on PC w/controller is vastly superior to the console. I saw a guy in one of the network test vids using that power-stance two weapon hit, he was dual wielding greatswords.

It could just as easily mean "in each area". Pretty much everywhere in DS1 could be considered "near a bonfire." Except fucking New Londo Ruins.

"As I experience some difficulty getting past this stone man, I'm told that certain enemies will only respawn near each bonfire a certain number of times, which the PR rep estimates to be about 15. However, you'll need to actually kill them rather than simply respawn at the bonfire for this...

    Dark Souls 2

Yeah, I've heard about being able to reset the limit. Which, in my opinion, makes even less sense. Let's add a mechanic, supposedly to reduce farming, then add another mechanic to give you the ability to negate the first mechanic? And this item, is it a drop you have to farm for? An item you...

    Dark Souls 2

What I meant was, for the less skilled player, boosting health and stamina is much more effective than boosting dps stats, since combat skill is primarily focused on defense. You can pump your dps stats to max if you want, and it won't help you at all if you can't stay alive. Boosting health...

My opinion differs from yours, so that means I'm the idiot? Good to know. I'll never understand why people bother posting on a forum if all they want is to talk to people who agree with everything they say. Oh, no, I can't think of anything else to say, I guess I'll just call him an idiot. So...

Don't really understand the obsession with the term "levels." Outleveled? The only stats that really matter are stamina and hp and health is just a buffer for your actual skill level, the lower your skill the more health you need. And with the new hollow mechanic (losing % of max hp, to the max...

    Dark Souls 2

I've killed plenty of enemies more than 15 times. Whether farming for souls or items, or just practicing combat moves, or trying different weapons. Hell, I'm doing a playthrough now with big/slow weapons only (because I hate them, but want to improve my skills with them) and I've killed the...

    Dark Souls 2

Those one kill enemies in DS1 were like 1-2 per area. This sounds like quite a bit more, otherwise, why mention it? Also, all black knight kills were optional, and on side paths. What you're proposing is pretty much the opposite of what they've stated. In your scenario it would be like they were...

    Dark Souls 2

So, I've been thinking about this new mechanic that removes tougher enemies after you've killed them 15 times and I really don't like it. It's supposedly to prevent soul farming (which I don't agree with, farming for souls/items should be a player choice) but, I don't buy it. I think it's just a...

    Justified (Season 5 - Jan 7th)

Yeah, it's a really short shot, like 3 seconds, and easy to miss. Boyd is talking to Johnny, and the camera cuts to Daryl who turns his head to look at Danny. Danny looks back at him and Daryl gives a very slight lift of his head, then turns back to face the other dudes. As he does this, you can...

Eh, learning to play the game trivialized it. I didn't even start parrying til I was nearly done with my first playthrough, and hardly backstabbed til my second. I was having trouble with it because I didn't know you had to stop moving first. Not to mention that neither even works on a lot of...

Removing a lot of i-frames, tying speed of dodging/blocking/parrying to a stat, things like that. Go watch youtube vids of the network test. You see a lot of people with plenty of DS1 experience getting slaughtered repeatedly. I mean, they have to do it, but how do you keep doing it without...

    Dark Souls 2

Yeah, it's one of several controversial changes. Backtracking is now unnecessary, but even if it was, the whole hard-enemies-only-respawn-a-limited-number-of-times crap makes it less of an issue anyway.

    Dark Souls 2

I find it interesting that the only way the devs can provide challenge for players who have mastered the previous game is by tweaking combat mechanics in ways that attempt to somewhat negate your acquired skill, which at the same time raises the bar of entry for new players quite a bit. Kinda...

Those archers can be easily cheezed with a bow and some poison arrows. You can arc your arrows to hit them while being out of their range. Takes 2 or 3 shots each, then you get to go make a snack. There's a lot of fights that a bow will trivialize, especially with a bow of pharis and the hawk ring.

    Dark Souls 2

Well, it does. It's pretty much exactly the same game with slightly updated graphics. As far as combat, pretty much the same except parrying is slightly harder and the backstab animation is now retarded. Supposedly enemy AI is slightly improved, but I wouldn't expect too much from that.

The black knight? They can be a bit rough when you first start out. Just block their attacks, watch your stamina, and go for the backstab. Or since there's a bonfire right there, use it as an opportunity to practice your parry/riposte.

Woody is absolutely not carrying this show. Is he a good actor? Sure. I've been a fan since NBK, he's done some fine work. Can he emote? Yeah, it's called "acting." What Matt does is much harder. He is conveying his character with the set of his face, the look in his eyes, and the rhythm and...

For elemental damage, it's helpful against mobs/bosses that are weak to that element, especially when your stats are low or you don't have access to the higher embers yet. It's not so much that Bo is a bad character, it's that Anna Silk is a terrible actress. It's everyone else who carries the show, mostly Kenzi, which is why it gets really weak when she's not in a scene. I've often wondered what the show would have been like with a decent actress playing Bo.
