    Fantasy Football Advice

I'm pretty optimistic on Cousins. I don't have him (one league left to draft so might end up with him) but he is my next pick if Tygod is unavailable. In other news: Virgil Green boys. Pick him up now while you can.

Sounds like you're doing a good job beta testing ;)

    EQEMU: Hammerfall ROTF2 PvP

It's funny that you were the one who responded to my post. When I picture someone Trojan horsing some fucked up malware through an eq emu it's your face I'm picturing my man.

Didn't try it. I get nervous about emu servers that don't go through the main emu login server.

Agree on Forte. I think he's a steal at ADP currently. For some reason people always treat him like he's pushing 40 when he's actually younger than AP. I was pretty happy with him last year and a I feel like the Jets are going to make good use of him. Going to try and nab him in both my leagues

That's not bad at all. Good bench too. I suspect Henry and Ware will both be worth more than you paid for them

Also, are you just promoting this server, or are you the one running it?

    EQEMU: Hammerfall ROTF2 PvP

So the download from the website includes the EQ client? I.e. you don't need to find a way to download RoF?

    EQEMU: Hammerfall ROTF2 PvP

Dunno how many of these you can answer but the server website is a bit short on info: 1. What db is the server using? PEQ? Something else (if so, what)? 2. What's the level range for pvp? 3. Teams? 4. What anti MQ/hacking stuff is there?

    Skyrim

Going to add a +1 for the Enderal conversion. Really liking it. Beautiful, huge game that is so far significantly superior to Skyrim. Would recommend.

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Couldn't agree more. I feel like we will hit a saturation point soon though. Like any quasi scam in history, it works for a while until people wise up and then it stops working . Eventually most people will wise up and stop paying for the "idea" of a game and require the developer to actually...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Yeah. I agree. My tolerance for buggy, half completed shit has basically reached zero. Ironically, it seems more publishers are willing to push out partially completed products these days. I miss the days where games weren't released unless they were in a playable state.

    The D&D thread

Different groups have different dynamics, but as a GM I consider it a point of pride if I can keep the players interested without resorting to combat. The last campaign I ran was a mystery adventure where the pcs were trying to track down a missing girl (and eventually several other people)...

    The Expanse

Read all the books and liked all the books. Was not a huge fan of the 4th book, but the 5th book was excellent and got the series back on track. Would absolutely recommend the books to any sci fi fan. One thing about the books is that the actual writing (in the literary sense) becomes...

    The D&D thread

Would definitely second Kovaks' advice. Regarding the "Let the Players Guide the Story" thing- I can't tell you how many times my players have become fascinated with some random minor character or situation I threw into my campaign as an aside. For whatever reason, the players sometimes...

    The D&D thread

5e is a great system to start playing on. I wrote this up a while back for one of my players that moved and was going to start GMing his own campaign. This advice comes from 25 years of GMing. It's kinda long so I spoilered it.
  18. Arden

    The D&D thread

Pretty much the bane of every pnp system once you get beyond the first few levels. That's why a lot of GMs keep running level 1-5 campaigns over and over. Hard to deal with all the shit going on at level 10+. Hit points start getting astronomical, it takes forever to kill things, everyone has...

Draegan sold the site to MMORPG.com

Just going to say it, never liked that dude Draegan anyway. He was always a douche to the core. Anyway, the community here was great despite him. I dunno about a new forum run by a a_skeleton_03 either. I'm with the others that think this whole fucking thing stinks for the 90% rest of us...

    It (2017)

I think this will definitely end up on film, and that makes me happy. I'd love to see the other story from that compilation on film too (Rage), but it will never happen. Waaaaaay too controversial in this climate. I read both The Bachman Books and Different Seasons in my early teens and they...

    It (2017)

Yeah, it's all a matter of opinion, but I liked Pet Cemetery, Silver Bullet, and Firestarter more than a lot of your higher picks. Also add Misery and Graveyard Shift. First was a good movie second was not so much. Oh, and Apt Pupil. There are more too. King is an insanely prolific...

    Raspberry Pi

Have a link to a good guide on how to set up? I'm sure there is plenty of info there (some of it better than others) but if you already have a guide you know is good, post it up.

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

There will be and hacking will be a problem in Pantheon for sure. I'm just curious if the Pantheon team has any plans for dealing with hacking. Specific plans I mean. Not the vague "We know it's going to be an issue and we are planning to put "things" in place to prevent hacking/catch...

Project 1999 - Making Norrath Great Again

A long time ago now Rog mentioned something like: 1. Open second P1999 blue server and make it time-release for expansions 2. After new server has been up a while and the bulk of the population has worked through the content, merge player base with old P1999 server. 3. Use newly freed...

    Star Trek: Discovery

I hope you're right. Like I said, I could care less if that shit is represented within the show, but if they make it one of the show's main foci the show is going to be unwatchable- to me at least. And I'm being selfish because I like the IP and really want a TNG successor.

    Star Trek: Discovery

That concept art is pretty cool actually. The Star Wars similarities are really clear.
  27. Arden

    Star Trek: Discovery

Fuuuuuuuuuuck This show is sounding worse and worse. What a great opportunity they have with a wonderful IP and they are totally going to waste it by cramming some type of weird, forced, multicultural, polygender, LBGTQRTYASDF SJW horseshit down our throats. Having that type of thing in...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

I would absolutely expect hacking/duping/bottling/gold farming/selling etc to be an issue with this game. It may be minimized early on due to the game's small size and minimal exposure, but as (or IF) the game gains an audience, these issues will increase drastically. Two of the things I...

    Mr. Robot

I've learned not to go near TV threads unless I am completely up to date. And Xarpolis, if you are seeing anything relevant in that screen grab tell us, because it's gibberish to me.

    Mr. Robot

Yeah, I was thinking one of the head facilitators if not the head. He clearly had Elliot in his office toward the end of the episode.
  31. Arden

    Mr. Robot

Nothing in the episode to make me think the theory is bunk yet. Still not positive but pretty convinced it's a secure mental hospital. There were definitely chicks in the religion group. Dunno. Craig Robinson is definitely more than just a prison guard.
  32. Arden

    Mr. Robot

It's not just that- look at all the imagery in a lot of these scenes. There are bars and fences everywhere. I don't think it's an accident. The stairs look just like bars. These scenes were shot intentionally this way.

    Mr. Robot

Dude has obviously hallucinated all kinds of stuff, from conversations and fights with his father, to being pushed off piers, to being shot in the head. Yes, most of the things he hallucinated that I can think of off the top of my head involve his father, but once you open the door to the fact...
  34. Arden

    Mr. Robot

Well, if he can full hallucinate his father, I'm not sure why he couldn't hallucinate his entire situation. Not by inventing a new reality altogether, but just by altering reality enough so that it gives him the illusion that he has control of his situation. After all, what is it his father...

    Stephen King's The Dark Tower

I think they are going to fuck this up. After initial annoyance, I'm ok with the choice of Elba and mcconaughey both. But after reading the slide show captions in the article, it seems like the director skimmed the novels at best and the screen writer decided to add a bunch of bullshit extra...

    Mr. Robot

Most prisons and even many jails give access to MH treatment to their inmates. He could very easily be seeing a staff mental health treatment specialist. His mother makes a good prison guard/warden. She gets him up and tells him when he has to go to bed, etc. His bedroom basically contains...

    The Last Kingdom

Glad to hear it. I read the first 7 or so books. While they became a little formulaic, I think they would make great tv-- so long as the fighting was well choreographed (considering that was the best part of the books).

    Soylent!

Since I started the thread I guess I'll post an update. I only tried it for a couple weeks and quit because it wasn't my thing. It tasted fine and I didn't mind drinking/eating it- even though it's basically like consuming pancake batter. My issue was that the formula they use is way too...

The Wire: Greatest Show Ever Made

Maybe he believed what Tolstoy said, that manual labor is the most basic way to rid oneself of the complexities and anxieties of civilized life. I personally also think it was Sobotka's attempt to turn back the hands of time; to go back to his roots and return to a simpler time in his life...
