Some class quests can be dopey. The dk quests are pretty great.

The seem to theme them as cut throat rich, manipulative asses. Many of the quest lines involving lala npc's they're rich uldans who are up to their lalafelery. Players though i think are a mix of "lol i'm a tiny fighter" or "dawwwwhowcute".

If you are set on skipping, maybe watch a recap once you beat ultima weapon. Heh maybe watch a recap first then skip till after ultima weapon first then play so you have more understanding of the quest goals.

There are these little rowana booths in all the cities where you can turn in collectable items for yellow scrip, and scrip for gear. There may be an intro quest in....mor dona maybe? Note that I am mangling every name. One of the booths are in Limsa near trade row

You can do collectibles and trade in tokens for better gear.

I just unlock them and sit on the "finish this" quest. Get completion if roulette deals it to me, or later with blue mage.

yep ultimate weapon is the last ARR quest. the quests in between ARR and HW are when things start getting better IMO. a lot of folks consider the lady iceheart story and boss fight to be a big turning point.

i felt like the hand holding went on a bit too long, but i will hand it to them that when you open a new game system (like the eureka magicka board for example) some npcs talk about how it works till you realllly understand it.

oh yea, the game is pretty 'system/feature dense'. you constantly run into dudes with 'blue' quest markers. those 'unlock new game aspects' which can be new raids, new trials (stand alone boss fights), access to beast tribes (daily quest hubs), mini games (particularly in the gold saucer), or...

it's not hard. the origional launch main story quest (and some other associated quests) are fetchy as fuck and the story, while some what interesting, drowns you in repetition to begin with. and some meh voice acting. but it lays the solid foundation for the story of hte following expansions...

Yea they need to slice it by like 80 percent of fetches. Arr msq is kind of slow and repetitive. They could narrate some 9f the trivial plot points and it would stay relevant. The plot comes together nicely though and its the same actual storyline the whole way through.

I'm the oposite. I cant do alts because the idea of re doing quests over make my eyes roll back. I always preferred one manz many role systems. I do hear thst alt complaint a fair bit tho

They all work. Some say gunbreaker does best dps, warrior is one trick pony, paladin is a bit tougher and dk is best main tank, but the difference is super marginal in overall tankiness and ability to do any content.

the king mog fight kind of illsutrates how primals can be spun up based on faith, since it's so goofy you can tell the moogles made it. i'm disapointed there wasn't a namazu primal. i guess they're so goofy they don't even deserve one.
