Ehhh.... Disney bought Marvel in 2009 so I'm not really sure what movies they started actually having influence. The only two MCU movies that are definitely completely independent of Disney are Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk since they both came out in 2008. I'd have to imagine everything...

Assuming Gunn had a final say in casting for the GOTG movies he def knows what he's doing. Though Marvel casting as a whole up through Endgame (other than Brie Larson, but tbh if she had a better attitude she'd be tolerable) was A+ so who knows how much of that was Gunn's doing.
