    NFL 2020 Season: Gravy Edition!

Yeah this shit has been hard to watch. I know it's better than it has been, but they need to work on that line.

    The Mandalorian

I'm sure she spends some time in the gym, but like a lot of former athletes she probably still eats like she did when she was training hard.

College Football 2020-2021 Season and the Covid-19 Bowl

At least Kentucky kept it close.

    The Mandalorian

Yeah, she's definitely crossed over into big girl territory. She's not a whale or anything, but she's way past athletically thicc.

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

yeah, he's good at 15-20M a year, but 30 per for 4 years is wild.

    The Mandalorian

One of the appealing things about this show is that it's relatively small scale and self contained. I do have some concerns that them ramping it up and connecting it to the other stuff could make it lose some of that.

    The Mandalorian

Clone Wars has a good bit of filler episodes, but the main story is really good. Rebels is more consistent but peak Clone Wars is better than anything in Rebels. Both shows are much, much better than the Prequels/Sequels.

    The New Mutants (2019)

In general not having an overarching connection between the movies hurts them on the macro level. On the individual movie level they mostly took themselves too seriously and didn't really embrace being silly comic book movies the way the MCU did. I don't just mean the jokes and stuff, just the...

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

I mean it's possible, but it's also possible he can pull a Simmons and just never be a shooter. He also plays basically no defense which is an issue. Not saying he'll end up being dogshit, but he's the lowest floor/highest ceiling guy of those early picks.

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

Ball has probably the highest upside of the early picks, but he's got some real basic things he has to work on and the Hornets don't exactly have a history of developing dudes. That's not a promising combination.

    Chaos Walking (2021)

I think Tom can do good work, but this movie is almost certainly going to be shit.

GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

Battle of the Bastards was good in parts and comically stupid in others.

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

Harden is a better defender than people credit him for. He was 38th in the league in defensive winshares and was 2nd in the league in points per possession as primary defender. Of course you can massage stats however you want but he's at least now a credible defender.

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

You obviously mean he's capable of random 60 point games, not a 60ppg guy. That would smash Wilt's record by like 10ppg.

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

Yeah obviously KD not really being recovered from his injury is bad. I'm just talking about Harden fitting in fine with what KD does but that there's way too much overlap with Kyrie.

    NFL 2020 Season: Gravy Edition!

yeah, get those 2 WR and maybe get a small upgrade to their D Line like Donald and maybe get a decent TE like Kittle or Kelce. Shit would be easy then.

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

I mean part of his massive usage rate was just the offense he was in. KD can play off the ball primarily just fine. The big issue with Brooklyn is how much of what he does overlaps with Kyrie.

GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

The fight scenes were pretty shit even in the early seasons. The dreadfort raid by the Ironborn was like season 4 or 5.

    NFL 2020 Season: Gravy Edition!

yeah, their divisional win pct and their first place schedule win pct were very close during that span. The 2nd to 4th place win pct is middle of the road compared to other divisions and the number of wildcard teams out of the AFC East is also middle of the road among divisions. It obviously...

    Underrated bands of the 90’s

Meat Puppets are really interesting in that they're constantly covered and a lot of their songs are better known by those covers. Being a band other bands like is usually a good sign of there being something there though for sure. AiC being called underrated is pretty wild to me considering...

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

Oh it's 100 percent on the league. If he wasn't getting a million free throws a game for his antics he'd stop doing it. That being said there's a lot of really good hoops in the league so it's actually really fun outside of outliers like him.

NBA 2020-2021: The Dubs Empire Strikes Back

Harden is like the most unwatchable all time sort of player in recent history. Just terrible.
  26. Sterling

GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

Yeah, season 6 is better than 7 and 8 but it's far from good. That's like saying getting punched in the face then kicked in the dick is better than being set on fire. Technically true, but nobody wants either of those things.

It's a legitimately good time to be a Dolphins fan. It actually feels like it's coming together for real and they even have Houston's first 2 picks in the upcoming draft.

    Underrated bands of the 90’s

Blind Melon is awesome. King's X also quite good. Fugazi is a big one for me. Helmet and Life of Agony also should get more love.

    Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

Yeah, it was like a video game cutscene not a tentpole blockbuster movie. That said the first 3/4 of the movie was pretty good so the sequel has a chance at least.
  37. Sterling

    Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

1st one was a reasonable origin movie with a terrible, terrible final act. Just seems amazing in comparison to the other DC movies since it was actually a relatively coherent movie, which you couldn't say for BvS or JL, which was the recent track record when it came out.

GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

I'm sure I've probably already said it in this thread at some point, but I'm sure I'll read it. But I certainly don't have the anticipation or enthusiasm I'd have had for it a few years ago.

    NFL 2020 Season: Gravy Edition!

Brees is a better comp than Wilson for Tua. He isn't really that kind of mobile. He was the most accurate passer in the history of college football. And we're not talking about 20 fullback screens a game. So far he's been good. He hasn't done anything real dumb and forced a ball where it...
