What's the verdict on 100%ing sidequests? Do them all as you play the first time for the EXP benefit, or just check them off when you re-do everything in Hard Mode? I'm making sure to level two Healing materia, as was suggested earlier.

Yeah, regardless of whatever problems this remake may or may not have, in the end, it's all worth it just to be able to walk around these environments in 3D and actually LOOK UP, seeing things that previously only existed in the imagination for the past 23 years.

Lufia 2 is so good. Probably my favorite 16-bit RPG that isn't from Square. I wish we'd gotten more info on who Arek was though. They introduce this Big Bad who's higher-ranked than the villain of the game, but you never see him again. Maybe they were planning to do more with him in the sequels...

Personally I prefer Xenoblade Chronicles X to XC1 or XC2 because it's got a more open world free-roam design. Also mechs, like Xenogears. If I had to replay one of them it'd be XCX easily. It doesn't tie into the story of the others so you can jump into it without missing out on backstory.

I agree completely. I also switched attack and dodge to put attack on the Y button (or equivalent) and dodge on A, with strong attack on X. That makes this play just like a Dynasty Warriors, which is a good fit for it.

Well, that moves the game from an 8 to a 9 for me. This game is SO GOOD you guys. Maybe the best FPS I've ever played. The only thing keeping it from a 10 is that there are way too many tutorials and such interrupting the action. Presumably that'll come to an end soon. I can't put the game down.
