I can't tell if Backstrom is slowly working his way back into form or if Mantha on his line just is making him look really good.

Decent WR draft. Expect Chiefs to trade up and take a shot on one in the 1st. If they hit a home run, could help them with some cap issues next couple years. $30M a year for a WR is insanity.

Glad we didn't give up anything major, just a couple small adds. No defensive depth is a little worrisome, though. If Kempny is getting any ice time in the playoffs can pretty much immediately write us off in 5 or 6 games Round 1.

I'm here too. It's funny had a debate about this at work before Watson reversed on Cleveland there was rumor if he chose Atlanta Ryan would get moved to Seattle...and friend was trying to argue Ryan's HoF case. I said flat out maybe if they get that Super Bowl and he wins MVP. He countered...

He did, but is this no different than Brady going to a stacked Tampa team and adding Fourentte, Gronk, and AB? Also Kupp has always been a good receiver...but not 1,900 yards and triple crown good until Stafford got there.

It is what it is, we had plenty of chances to get more and didn't convert. Dallas came to play first 40. Their PP goal in 2nd was really pretty passing play.

Good lord. Also really not liking some of the officiating in the 3rd period of our game v Dallas today. Waived off a goal with a questionable GI call, and a dangerous play with Benn taking down Carlson into the boards at end of the game completely uncalled.

Dude literally won it all the only year he wasn't saddled with Detroit. Beat Brady along the way. In Tampa.

Some of these trades are pretty nuts. Used to be a 2nd was the going price for decent pieces, and the big dividing line was whether a guy would bring back a 1st or not. Now these deals are generating a 1st plus more.

Kind of funny that even a $40M cap hit for Stafford is slightly less than they were spending on their starting QB position last year.

Shit I loved the Imp Agent story, had a group of 4 of us in TOR early access that super grinded that shit in a couple days and thought it was fantastic. Doesn't come close to HW/ShB/EW for me, though.

Yeah the cost control of $1.5M cap hit for 2 more years after this one and he's still only an RFA at that point is just massive.

Just hit 1100 on my Gunslinger, that last piece was an adventure, 3 fails before buffing up a try as much as I could and succeeding at 78%. T3 sounds like pain ahead. But if I was going to roll an alt or two, are there good classes that are complementary to already having a GS?

Well I was wrong, 3 and a shootout was enough. Kinda sucks that game ended in a shootout, but Ovechkin sending it home makes it worth it.

I mean, it's more than he should get, but it's not more egregious than Kirk making top 3 in the NFL WR money. Not even close. The only season Zay got to be a full time starter he caught more TD's that year than Kirk ever has in a season yet in his career.

Mantha the opening goal, and the winner in the shootout. Ovi #767, too, of course. 5-0-1 since Mantha returned.

Caps look to have a little something cooking atm. Start of that 3rd period was all kind of bad, but otherwise pretty solid Western Canada road trip. Really unless Columbus goes nuts rest of the way, the 8 playoff teams in the East are set, it'll just be about seeding and who is playing...
