Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

She's an abandoned orphan on a sand inventor planet. Virginity was never in the cards for her. Maybe the lightsaber was coated in her schmegma and that's the real reason Luke tossed it aside.

Ahh, the true cause of deaths at Chernobyl. There were in the feedwater too long. They should have been taken to the infirmary.

I can't speak to the capacity of the soviet water pumps but remember the miner's joke; "What's as big as a house..." It's likely their pumps had no more throughput that yours.

They did cast a black guy. He was the one that went right, looked over the edge, and stuck his foot under the graphite.

Radiation detectors. I think they are supposed to be white. I'll pay attention when/if I rewatch the before scenes in ep5.

Even if the judge and prosecutor were fairly powerful, Scherbina was a member of the Central Committee and vice chairman of the Counsel of Ministers. That's like having the Vice President and Secretary of Energy in the room.

There's not a category I can think of that it shouldn't be a front runner. Adapted screenplay/writing, direction, cinematography, music, costume, makeup, actors and supporting actors, special effects. Hell, I'd even give it kid's choice award for best kiss for the fireman and his wife.

One of the issues is that there are numerous different radioactive isotopes that got spread. One of the worst was the cesium which commonly forms salts that are water soluable and are easily absorbed by plants and animals. That's one of the reasons the firefighters were still emitting...

I want that on a shirt but I can't decide. Grey, red, or blue striped tank top. Speaking of which, there is a distinct lack of stripey tank tops in this show.

I'm sure it was considered but I wonder why they didn't use some tower cranes with long booms to drag a plow or scoop across the roof. They had cranes on site during the cleanup and they used them for the sarcophagus. Even if it wouldn't be perfect I think they still could have cleared off the...

Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls

Conquests are just moderate speed bumps now. T16 means you can get Avarice almost by accident if you speed run rifts especially if you level a Boon to 50 and wear the avarice belt. Thrill is a joke with the season LoN buff since you get the bonus without actually wearing the set. Years of war...

I'll be curious to see if this episode keeps the high rating or if it takes a hit from the animal scenes.

The above posts talk about the faults of RBMK, but one of the benefits is that the water is at significantly lower pressure than western reactors. Contemplating a water pressure explosion probably didn't even cross their minds because their reactors were specifically designed to use lower...

Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls

Yea, that's my biggest problem with set dungeons is that you can overpower them and fail. I get trying to force players to use the secondary set bonuses as intended but I wish more were like marauders where you don't have to intentionally gimp yourself to master it. Started with a wiz this...

From what I've read that scene is one of the few that was intensified for dramatic effect. In reality it was supposedly a couple inches of water and the biggest obstacle was the maze of pipes and hallways.

It's too bad this aired before the GoT finale. Would have been money for someone to drop a "and who has a better story than Chris" during the reunion.

The first podcast kind of talks about the radiation awareness. They think it was essentially two things. Firstly no one thought an explosion was possible in the core, which combined with the low level dosimeters led to strong denial that they were in danger. In a system built on lies it was...

As we'll likely see in the next episodes some of those guys did recover but at some point you have to think euthanization is the more humane option.

5 episodes. It will be interesting to see how they transition from what has been a suspense thriller into a political thriller. The casting has been great and from what I've read over the last two weeks it is a pretty spot on recreation of events.

Vary's only thought about poisoning Dany. The kitchen girl was actually faceless littlefinger. He poisoned everyone with crazy juice that Dany and others drank causing the personality changes. Chaos is a ladder. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

    Survivor

Kind of bullshit that a last episode redemption returnee wins. I highly doubt they ever do this format again where they allow the whole jury to socialize for weeks and then reenter. I would think Devins is a lock for the next alumni season, probably Gavin too for getting the shaft.

GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

Regarding Grey Worm being the leader of the unsullied...when they first appeared on the show I thought the casting was actually pretty good. Remember they get castrated at 5 so of course they're not going to grow into physically imposing beasts. Sure there will be larger ones in the same way...

    Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Did something change with the Marvel-Sony agreement? Using spiderman as a bridge between P3 and 4 is one thing, but making him the face of the MCU I just don't see. They'll find someone in phase 4 that works and center things around them. It doesn't even necessarily have to be a character...

And what legacy is that? That the previously most optimistic dude in the universe who could see the good even in a monster like Vader had a bad feeling about his nephew acting bratty and instead of trying to mentor him to the good side let him join a resurgent empire. An empire he did a piss...

    Marvel Universe stuff

The problem is that if there are any mcguffin's in phase 4 people will instantly try to tie them to the next big bad. I don't think many people at the time thought the tesseract, loki's scepter, or the aether would be all powerful infinity stones.

    Avengers: Endgame (2019)

It all depends on the direction MCU heads and lots of other factors but trying to compare phase 4 to IW & Endgame are wrong in my opinion. IM1, Thor1, Cap1, and the other phase 1 movies didn't earn 1 billion. It took years and multiple movies to generate the interest we've got today. If Phase...

I don't have any problems with old cap showing up on the bench. You already saw earlier that Cap and IM could go from 2012 to 1970 using only the bracelets and no landing pad by simply plugging in new coordinates. Why couldn't he simply do the same when returning the stones. It's not totally...

GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

Did we ever get an explanation why Benjen became a good-guy undead? I suppose it's possible there's something in the Stark blood but without anything else hinting at that over the past 8 years it's pretty deus ex machina. Plus, didn't grrm say that book coldhands isn't Benjen?
