Many people are definitely going to have to crank down the graphics but probably more because of the lighting than the voxels. Though I'm almost positive you'll be able to lower the density of destroyed objects/particles.

You can still do things like that, though. Except now instead of just being super powerful and steamrolling mobs to get corpses, maybe you're one of the only tier 5 rogues on the continent with Stealth of Shadows. You're still a badass and you still save the day, you just might not do it by OHKO...

Fair enough. I still love the idea of keeping content challenging no matter what tier you are, though. One of the worst travesties of EQ's existence is that so many of the great zones that we all came up in are barren wastelands now.

I think you will just have better tools at your disposal. AOE snare wouldn't mean I could single handedly kill 100 orcs in Crushbone. A volley type attack doesn't mean that I'm going to have a ton more HP or tanking ability.

Yeah that's another cool thing, every stat is a benefit to every character in some way. I expect that the tier locks will not be due to monster strength, but probably will be due to abilities you'll need to beat the encounter. Like maybe AOE mez is a tier 4 enchanter spell, so you'll be fucked...

I like the idea that no one will ever be able to blow through Crushbone solo no matter how advanced their character is. Unfortunately one of my favorite things to do in EQ1 was to log in and destroy every dragon in Western Wastes whenever I was bored.

I'm hoping some of those 40 classes are actually class titles from the original game. Like Pathfinder, Warden, Forest Stalker could all be extra-specialized Ranger classes.

Can't lie dudes, TOV looked pretty amazing and had a sense of scale I wish the original had. Probably my favorite raid zone in all of EQ.
