I personally haven't encountered many issues with Gilgamesh so far...today's problems with the instances server being down is something that affects all NA/EU server so it's not specific to Gilgamesh. The biggest issue seems to be creating a character really...there is no noticeable queues...

It looks like I'm ready for early access. Any idea if the Coeurl Mount has some level requirements or any other requirement to be used? Any idea how long it takes to go 20 to 30?

This is just my personal opinion...but F2P at launch for me equal sub-par product. I have yet to see any game that didn't make HUGE compromise on quality, content or gameplay experience when going F2P. So I prefer subscription model which to me means at least an attempt at making a decent...

I've said this before, but it's a strange game...for all intent and purpose it shouldn't be fun. Questing is average at best(interesting main story though FF style). Combat is very basic...but polished. Classes have no customization to speak off. Itemization is pretty bland. World...

Subscription is fine with me. The delay to spring while predictable is disappointing. I love it though so hopefully they make it even better. Gives me more time to enjoy FF14, so that's good I guess.

I wonder how emergent AI, procedural zone creation, and all their tools is gonna impact content creation. I mean EQ content for the most part was build a zone, put mobs in it. Create a few items and that was bascially it. WoW and most other MMO content is build a zone, put mobs in it...

The game is a lot of fun, I'm definitely getting it but I agree it will need to avoid Elder Scrolls and EQ Next since their IP alone will get them sales and attention.

480 abilites for 40 classes. SOE can do that easily, I think each class in EQ2 has that many already.

Maybe their emergent AI will figure out that player A is a retard with no motor skills, and have the mob stand in one spot, using just it's autoattack so that player A can beat it. And then when faced with player B who is a super skilled hardcore player. It starts using it's advance combat...

I think they are making the same mistake they made with EQ2, and that's calling the game EQ. EQ2 was not a bad game at release, not as bad as it was reported anyways. It was a pretty bad sequel to EQ though, and I've always believe that he negative feedback that the game got from being a bad...

I don't know if I'm the only one but I actually like the holy trinity. Tis sounds like GW2 part that didn't really work, it's fun for soloing but sucked in groups. Hopefully they do a better job.

There is no denying that they are going with that art style because it's popular right now. At the same time, it would be stupid to deny that this art style ages way more gracefully than the more realistic ones. I tried getting back in EQ2 and was turned off by how horrible it looks today...

It's hard to say, because we don't how far they are in the content that hasn't been released yet. For example in a video that is at least 6 months they showed the Halion Rings that seem playable and populated...and that's a level 40 or so zone...so they have stuff not in that is done...how much...

The thing with the system on how we obtain classes that worries me...is can I fuck it up permanently? If I decide to help the orcs and that the farmer was the guy that gives the wizard class. Did I just lock myself out of ever becoming a wizard...or will there be other opportunities?
