You won't auto flag but interacting with the event will flag you, i assume it'll be this way as it's similiar when you go into EPL and interact with the PVP towers.

They're teasing STV will be the next pvp event zone, and confirmed gnomeregan is the next raid for 25-40. Also likely that once SOD is done it'll be pushed to its own (probably C+?) realm clusters, and not merged into era like SOM was.

the only thing that might suck on these pvp servers is once the cap changes to 40, the first couple zones in the 25 range will be a pvp shit show for the first few days but it would probably be pretty fun if you enjoy the chaos likewise once it goes from 40 to 60
