That's actually a common theme through the series - as far as I remember, every single prophecy completely fucks with whoever is trying to do anything about it - clearly the sensible response for that world to someone telling you they had a vision of the future is to tell them to shut the fuck up.

They ran out of book series content in season 2, so the tighter plotting to an overall arc is probably what you are missing there. I still *like* season 3 and 4 more overall though, the characters are just so fun.

It's kind of weird - you have one set of people complaining about 'aaah! feminism', and the other set complaining about 'ahhh! hates women' about the same thing. It's extra funny because it all seems to come from a minor change to the original story.

This series as a whole was great. While they obviously weren't consistent quality, I didn't really dislike any of them except the Hitler one. Some pretty amazing animation in there, enough that my initial reaction to 'Ice Age' was 'no way', rather than 'wait, why isn't this animated'.

Sonnie's edge is probably my favorite of Hamilton's short stories. They changed it up a bit to put Sonnie in a more positive light, but it was great to see it animated with that quality.

Last I checked, tv by the numbers had it as 'more likely than not' for renewal.
