You should still upgrade your i5 to something newer, even with your 1070. I did and gained many FPS throughout my games and stopped a hitch in many others. In BF5 I had a nasty 1 sec hitch every few seconds that made me upgrade to a i5 9600K.

IMO it all depends on what end game they have. If its full on PvP type shit it will last a few weeks maybe a month tops after you hit cap. If they have some PvE shit too well then it might be longer. Different strokes for different folks, but IMO a MMORPG game cannot be carried by 20v20 PVP...

I think the 3080 is def the sweet spot at $800 MSRP. The 3070s are like $600 MSRP. But it depends what display youre running too. If 1080p then you dont need 3080 but if 1440p the 3070 can still run it well but the 3080 will step in and be better. Stay away from the ti since its shit this go...
