I remember the IB thing, but I don't think they were killing raid mobs with the intention of rmting the loot. It was a group of people who elected to leave the server and were cashing out in the process. I could be wrong for sure, but that's how I perceived it.

4-5 active raiding guilds during Kunark is better than any server I've ever played on. Those are guilds actually getting raid mobs too, nevermind the guilds doing planar clears and the 7 or so farming Sky (some of the best loot until Velious!). It's really not that bad. Sure mobs die a few...

The raid scene looks a lot better lately. In the last week five guilds have gotten raid mobs with 4 getting two or more. I hope that trend continues although it seems unlikely. It was nice to see fe/ib get that Phara Dar kill too.

I'd go Monk. At level 95+ you can mend faster than most mobs can dps you and your dps isn't bad either. Add a cleric merc and you're invincible.

Virtually all high end gear is going to have some shielding/spell shield/avoidance on it.

Ideally after a few years of Velious they will relaunch the server and maintain the original timeline with all the various p99 bugs etc fixed. The perfect classic launch so to speak. P99 as it stands now is actually a beta right?

I'm surprised so many people here are opposed to item loot. I enjoyed the old one item, no bags no weapons system. Then those dedicated pvp guilds can get raid loot without raiding.

Yeah, I'm actually really busy with work and training these days. I just ran my first 24 hour ultra marathon actually (89 miles). Nitsude is the boss these days. I've really been getting the itch to go back though.

I'm starting to wonder if preformed guilds aren't the way to go. It almost seems like you're better off just grinding 20 hours a day for the first month, getting max level and getting the Nagafen server first with like 10 other random 45-50's and then forming a guild. Then the top levelers...

They usually do like 7 free days with the progression server launch to attract more players. That's enough time to get all the server firsts and then sell your account for $400.

Why not just curb stomp Nihilum and then once you're the top force on the server you can foster the sort of community you'd like to see. I'm not trolling here btw.
